SPARE STRAINER BASKET OR SCREEN AVAILABLE

Observed there were no spare strainers or screens available for the pump or skimmer baskets. Informed the operator that spare strainer baskets would be needs for the skimmers and the pump. The operator stated they would obtain spare strainers and screens.

Correction: Obtain spare strainers/screens for the pump and skimmers.

Code ATCP 76.11(2)(d) 2. - SPARE STRAINER OR SCREEN

    • Not serious Non-critical

      ALKALINITY

Observed the total alkalinity is 30 ppm. Obtained both a reading in the pool room water quality test spigot and from the pool deck. Both readings were 30 ppm. Discussing with the operator, the operator informed that they would be able to raise alkalinity safely as they have done it for other pools before and know the process to do it.

Correction: Maintain the total alkalinity of the water between 60 and 180 ppm as calcium carbonate or be able to demonstrate to the department or its agent that another level of total alkalinity produces chemically balanced water.

      Code ATCP 76.14(5)(d) - ALKALINITY
