     UTENSIL SANITIZATION - CLEANING PROCEDURES

     Dish sanitization sign was not posted. A supply of plain unscented bleach that is approved for food contact surfaces was not available. Chlorox disinfecting bleach is a brand that is approved.

     Correction: Post the required dish sanitization sign and provide a supply of approved plain unscented bleach. Store out of reach of children

     GENERAL MAINTENANCE

     The stairwell leading from the first floor to the basement was not equipped with a code compliant guardrail. The guardrail must be a minimum of 36 inches in height around the stairwell. The stairwell leading from the deck to the ground was not equipped with code compliant guards. The recently installed handrail which leads from the first floor to the basement also appeared to not be code compliant and will be referred to the City of Two Rivers Building Inspection. A license will not be issued until these issues are corrected. DATCP guidance document is enclosed.

     Correction: The guardrail around the interior stairwell must be a minimum of 36 inches in height. The exterior stairway leading from the deck to the ground must have guards installed that are spaced a maximum of 6 inches apart. Contact the City of Two Rivers Building Inspection Department regarding the code requirements for the handrail and also any permits that may be required. A variance application for the
