General Department Report:
Elections
• We have received all but one municipality’s April election invoice payment as of June 30.
• The municipal clerks have done a great job transitioning to Self-Provider status for elections and are
now almost all entering their own WisVote data in the state system. WEC officials approve- this is a
great step for Sawyer County election integrity! I am standing by to assist whenever they need help.
• Ballots were delivered a week early and absentee ballots were mailed out to everyone with an
application on file by the June 25 deadline.
Operations- Remodeling is complete in the Clerk’s office- we appreciate the walls and locking door for
security, and the customers benefit from the improved marriage license experience.
Fiscal- The 2027 Budget has been entered.
Strategic Plan- The Clerk’s department continues to streamline processes and work on good communication
with staff, County Board, outside agencies and the public via the phone, website, bulletin boards and
customer service window. There has been a noticeable increase in courthouse public records efficiency with
the removal of NextRequest; records are being provided quickly and to the satisfaction of requesters via
simple communication between departments.
