Page 5 of 25 Sawyer County Airport Management Report June 2025 (Provided by Airport Manager Derek Leslie) -Airport is steadily increasing with activity. - Grass is growing and we are mowing, hasn’t been too bad yet with the lack of rain. - Sheriff and local police conducted EVOC training on the tarmac. We always love to host that because it is fun to watch. They are very courteous to our aircraft operations and do a good job picking up afterwards. -Hannah Bay Holdings has a 30-year hangar lease coming up in July. As always airport management comments on the situation. In this instance I would recommend the new hangar lease template be drafted for this individual hangar owner, on Agenda for June. Dan is a very active pilot and is also involved in the EAA and its young eagles’ program. - Snow Removal Equipment development, the buy American waiver was approved. The winning bidder out of Eau Claire did reach out and there is potential to start getting hopes up for some projected delivery dates. -Fuel prices are still fluctuating. Good news is we are up on sales year over. That includes 2024 pace which is notable because in 2025 we had been shutdown for a month for runway rehab. -Overall things at the airport seem to be very positive. We added another based aircraft this month, this individual will be a tenant in the Hayward Aviation hangar. It’s not every day our airport adds a new based aircraft so its notable. We are up to 30 aircraft in total now between full time “based” and part time seasonal based.
