PUBLIC WORKS COMMITTEE MEETING MINUTES Regular Meeting JUNE 18, 2026 1. Call to Order A meeting of the Public Works Committee was held in the Highway office meeting room. Present Supervisor Tom Grabow, Supervisor Justin Strom, Supervisor Tom Bichler, Supervisor Scott Fischer Absent None Excused Supervisor Kevin Kennedy Staff present: County Administrator Dzwinel, Public Works Director Edgren, Transit Superintendent Zutz, Building Superintendent Tackes, Project Manager/Construction Superintendent Guettel, Human Resources Director McDonell, and Chief Deputy County Clerk Henning. Others present: Dan Benson - Ozaukee Press 2. Proper Notice Chairperson Grabow called the meeting to order at 8:00 AM. The clerk noticed the meeting as required. 3. Public Comments, Correspondence, Communications There were none. 4. Approval of Minutes May 21, 2026 Motion: Motion to approve the May 21, 2026 minutes as submitted. Justice Center Elevator Design Motion: Motion to approve the Modernization Consulting Proposal submitted by Performance Elevator Consulting, LLC in the amount of $8,746, for consulting services related to the Justice Center elevator design. Management/Financial/Informational Reports Question on Fair Grounds - Purchasing Services line item. Mr. Tackes explained that a portion of the 70% reflected in the line item is due to approved down payments for the sound system. 6. Transit Services a. Action Items 1. GO Riteway Contract Amendment Questions on possible increase in revenue and average ride times. Motion: Motion to authorize the Public Works Director to increase the Shared Ride Taxi service hours by 100 hours per week for the remainder of 2026 starting on July 1, 2026. Management/Financial/Informational Reports Ridership experienced a slight decrease from April; however, overall ridership remains up 3% compared to 2025. Trends indicate that ridership is largely employment-based. 7. Highways a. Action Items 1. CTH W Construction Management & Staking Amendment Motion: Motion to approve raSmith's amendment to the CTH W Agreement for Construction Management and Construction Staking for a not to exceed amount of $35,000.
