Discussion and Possible Action on 2026 Proposed Parks Projects: Administrator Jenkins gave a summary of how parks maintenance items were decided in the past, and with the creation of the new Parks & Rec Lead position, requested that position accumulate a list of 2026 parks requests. P&R Lead Bares reviewed requests in detail. The Committee questioned if park signage for $3k each was best use of those dollars, and asked staff to collect bids and options on what signage could look like in 2026. Committee also asked staff to look into converting the Stoney Creek basketball court into pickleball when asphalt contractors will be onsite working on the park and municipal parking lots. Consensus was to proceed with 2026 parks projects as recommended. b. Discussion and Possible Action on the Tree Lighting Ceremony and Winter Walk: P&R Lead Bares reviewed plans for both events. Winter Walk to move forward for February time after Superbowl weekend. c. Discussion and Possible Action on 2026 Events: Administrator Jenkins stated that due to decreased volunteers and the Friends group taking a step back, the Village needs to be realistic on what events they can handle in-house verse not. Internally it had been decided that all current events could continue except for the large “Fun B4 the Fourth”. Administrator Jenkins confirmed that November 1st is to thank sponsors, and agreed an opening in Spring celebration would be great. Director Paulus added they still need to test and winterize the new equipment. 8. Motion to Adjourn made by Mr. Gehrke. Seconded by Trustee Van Roo. Passed by unanimous voice vote.
