Historic Plaques for Homeowners No applications received Discussion/Possible Action regarding the proposed dedication ceremony for the Lake Geneva Public Library as a Local Historic Landmark Date: Thursday, October 22, 2026 Time: TBD Following discussion, Brookes offered to draft an agenda and discuss with Library Director. Discussion/Possible Action regarding attendance at the Wisconsin Association of Historic Preservation Commissions Fall Conference, October 14-16, 2026 No action taken Discussion/Possible Action regarding establishing a program for Historic Markers in City of Lake Geneva Cemeteries Hummel/Powers motion to approve establishing a program for Historic Markers in the City of Lake Geneva cemeteries passed unanimously. Discussion/Possible Action regarding the purchase of a prototype for the Historic Markers for Cemeteries program Brookes presented a marker prototype and quote from First Place Promotions and Awards, Harvard, IL. Powers/Halverson motion to order 100 markers for $6,200 of the carry-over funds passed unanimously. Review of Historic Preservation Commission page of the City website Forms for Historic Homeowner’s Tax Credit Information, Historic Plaque Application, and Local Landmark Nomination are now live.
