Park & Tourism Committee Minutes Meeting of Thursday May 7, 2026 Town of Delavan 1. Meeting was called to order by Chair Flitcroft at 3:30pm at Town Hall 2. Roll call – Ruben excused, all other members present 3. A quorum was present 4. Approval of the agenda was made by Hugh/Jim 5. Approval of the minutes of the April 7, 2026, meeting was made by Leah/Jim 6. Comments were made by George Hubner 7. No communications 8. John updated the group that he was still negotiating with the city. Hugh asked for a copy of the agreement to review. 9. John updated the group. 10. Tom updated the group that insurance will cover $25k and that estimated completion is May 23, 2026. 11. Chair Flitcroft and Bill T updated the group regarding the ten carp fisherman that need a way to fish past 12am without being ticketed because their day launch passes expired. Bill suggested a laminated card that can be placed on their dashboard for the Town Police officers to see. It was agreed there would be no launch fee discount for the carp fisherman. 12. The group unanimously voted to extend the TEA agreement with FOP until the end of 2026. Leah/Jim 13. A) Leah and Tom discussed appropriate contacts. B) John updated the group regarding obtaining a quote from Ventek. 14. Bill updated the group regarding sourcing new children’s life vests (paid for by the DLIA) for the boat launch and asked the committee to reconsider a foot bridge over the culvert by the volleyball courts. 15. Leah updated the group. 16. Leah/Hugh to pay bills. 17. Comments made by George Hubner. 18. The next meeting will be Tuesday, June 2, 2026, at Town Hall. 19. Leah/Donna – meet was adjourned at 4:32pm.
