Park & Tourism Committee Minutes Meeting of Tuesday March 3, 2026 Town of Delavan 1. Meeting was called to order by Chair Flitcroft at 4:31pm at Town Hall 2. Roll call – all members present 3. A quorum was present 4. Approval of the agenda was made by Ruben/Jim 5. Approval of the minutes of the February 3, 2026, meeting was made by Ruben/Jim 6. Comments were made by George Hubner regarding his issues with the City’s recreation department agreement with the town. 7. Tom provided two quotes from Gerber for repairs and updates to the playground equipment. 8. Chair Flitcroft updated the group regarding the city attending the April meeting. 9. John updated the group regarding the commercial boat launch fee and that he and the town attorney were working on a draft ordinance. 10. Chair Flitcroft updated the group regarding the two quotes from Gerber and the group reviewed and discussed the quotes. Hugh suggested that a sub-committee be formed to discuss the status of the playground equipment at the parks, current new equipment that has not been installed, and make a recommendation back to the committee. The sub-committee will include Leah, Hugh, Donna, Jim, and Todd Griffin. Leah also informed the group that Kathy will not be returning to plant and maintain flowers at community park, so we need an alternative. Ruben suggested that we ask the high school if DD Tech would be available to fill Kathy’s role. John was going to put out an RFP/RFQ. 11. Hugh updated the group. 12. Hugh updated the group regarding a donated bird house from Robert Crab to replace one at Water’s Edge. Hugh will communicate with Robert to drop the birdhouse off at Public Works. 13. The group discussed the sign. No action taken. 14. Kevin updated the group and suggested that the group look at repairing and/or replacing some of the pavilions. Tom updated the group regarding the status of the new water tank installation at Water’s Edge. 15. Leah/Hugh to pay the Winterfest bill from FOP . 16. George Hubner shared his comments regarding the playground equipment. 17. Next meeting will be Tuesday, April 7, 2026, at Town Hall. 18. The meeting was adjourned at 5:41pm by Leah/Hugh.
