Park & Tourism Committee Minutes Meeting of Tuesday February 3, 2026 Town of Delavan 1. Meeting was called to order by Chair Flitcroft at 4:33pm at Town Hall 2. Roll call – all members present 3. A quorum was present 4. Approval of the agenda was made by Ruben/Hugh 5. Approval of the minutes of the January 6, 2026, meeting was made by Ruben/Leah 6. Comments were made by George Hubner regarding the temperature of the food at Winterfest. 7. None 8. Chair Flitcroft updated the group and the group discussed the current rec agreement with the city. Chair Flitcroft moved to send a formal notice to the city regarding the town’s intention to renegotiate the agreement beginning in 2027. Ruben seconded. 9. No update. Waiting for a draft document. 10. No update 11. A) John updated the group and the group discussed. Leah/Ruben 12. Chair Flitcroft reviewed actual overages vs. the 2026 budget. 13. Chair Flitcroft updated the group and Mary Knipper mentioned that Mary Pat O’Conner is interested in the role. Mary to evaluate Mary Pat’s interest and will move this topic to the Lake Committee. 14. Chair Flitcroft updated the group and the group recommended that we have Tom see if Pat’s will match the price. Hugh/Ruben 15. Bill Thummel updated the group that Winterfest had attendance of roughly 300 people (which was lower due to the weather). Bill told the group that FOP is going to increase the amount of fireworks by 50% and will extend the show from 16 minutes to 20 – scheduled for Jun 27, 2026, and will be simulcast on a local radio station. Lakefest will open at 6pm with the Badger Band playing a 7pm. 16. Chair Flitcroft updated the group and suggested that the Watershed might want to rent the sign. The group recommended that Tom inspect the sign to see if it needs any maintenance prior to renting. 17. Chair Flitcroft updated the group. 18. Leah/Hugh 19.
