MINUTES POLICE & WATER SAFETY COMMITTEE MEETING HELD ON JANUARY 6, 2026 @ TOWN OF DELAVAN, TOWN HALL, 5621 TOWN HALL ROAD, DELAVAN 53115 Prepared by Mary Pat O’Connor on January 16, 2026 1. Call to order at 3:30 pm 2. All committee members present 3. Quorum established 4. Approval of agenda – motion to approve by Chief Adams, seconded by O’Connor 5. Approval of minutes from December 2, 2025 – motion to approve by Chief Adams, seconded by Chair Charvat. Approval of the minutes with the attendance correction from the December meeting of Phillips & Hermann absent/excused. 6. Communications – None 7. Comments and suggestions from citizens present – None 8. Old Business a. Discuss/possible rec. 5/10 year capital improvement plan – Department is looking at purchasing 2 FLock cameras for use in high traffic areas. b. Discussion/possible rec. Address Issues /Town Ordinance 8.12 -None 9. New Business: a. Chief Report – Dept. participated in the Shop with a Cop event held in Delavan on December 10, 2025. New hire will post in February 2026 for CSO’s. Department held end of year awards meeting. Employee of the Year was TJ Bakken (?) There were 32 active cases in December. b. 2026 Squads - Ordered 2 cars in December. Will be outfitted by General Fire. c. McHahon Staffing Study – Discussed the need for the study. Data will come from the Department Heads. More information is required to see if it is necessary. d. Future agenda items – None currently 10. Payment of Monthly bills – Motion to approve by Charvat, seconded by Hermann. Motion carries unanimously. 11. Comments from citizens present – None 12. Next meeting is February 3rd, 2026 at 3:30 pm. 13. Motion to adjourn by Chair Charvat at 3:58 pm, seconded by Phillips.
