Park & Tourism Committee Minutes Meeting of Tuesday January 6, 2026 Town of Delavan 1. Meeting was called to order by Chair Flitcroft at 4:30pm at Town Hall 2. Roll call – all members present 3. A quorum was present 4. Approval of the agenda was made by Ruben/Jim 5. Approval of the minutes of the November 4, 2025 meeting was made by Leah/Donna 6. Comments were made by George Hubner. Kathy Maiworm also made comments regarding the City over charging her as a non-resident when using City rec services and not refunding her the overcharge. 7. None 8. Chair Flitcroft updated the group regarding communications with Don Clark. Don also spoke to the group regarding a suggested revised traffic pattern for the boat launch and season pass holders. The plan was reviewed by Chief Adams and the Chief provided feedback in the meeting as did Tom from Public Works. The group discussed the revised pattern and chose not to make the change. After discussion, Don withdrew his offer to work at the boat launch because he doesn’t believe it will work without his suggested changes. Don made the comment that he will remain available to discuss future opportunities to be involved with the launch. 9. Bill was present as Kevin was out and he updated the group regarding plans for Winterfest. He also asked for suggestion on how to handle the Geese on the peninsula in 2026. Lakefest will be held on June 27th and FOP intends to double the budget for fireworks to celebrate the nation’s 250th birthday. 10. The group discussed the status of the playground equipment and Tom provided input regarding existing equipment, possible need for repairs, and pointed out that to-date the Town has not requested any quotes for new equipment. Tom will request a quote from Burk. Donna updated the group regarding the equipment that was ordered in 2023. 11. Chair Flitcroft updated the group. 12. Chair Flitcroft updated the group and moved to pay the bill. Approved by Leah/Ruben. 13. John noted that Cardinal Engineering was the original engineer. Leah asked if we had any legal recourse. 14. Approval by Leah/Ruben 15. Tom asked the group if the Town should provide a porta-potty for the ice fishermen at the launch. The group asked Tom to get a quote. 16. The next meeting will be on Tuesday, February 3, 2026, at Town Hall, 4:30pm 17. The meeting was adjourned at 5:30pm by Hugh/Jim.
