Special Finance Committee Agenda 10-22-25 5621 Town Hall Road, Delavan, Wisconsin 53115 (262) 728-3471 - FAX (262) 728-3473 Email: bthummel@townofdelavan.com Office Hours: M – F, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM Special Finance Committee Meeting Minutes The Town of Delavan Finance Committee held a Special Meeting on Friday, October 24th , 2025, 3:30pm at Delavan Town Hall, 5621 Town Hall Rd, Delavan. 1) Call to order – at 3:30 pm 2) Roll Call – Hartlaub - excused 3) Declaration of quorum for doing business 4) Approval of Agenda – Motion to approve agenda by O’Connor, seconded by Nixdorf, motion carried. 5) Approval of Minutes of October 22nd ,2025 meeting - ? 6) Communications a. None 7) Comments and suggestions of citizens present regarding Items on the Agenda. Citizens’ comments limited to three (3) minutes. 8) New Business: 1. Review of revised long-term cash flow projections – It was discovered since the last meeting that $989,000 on the cash flow worksheet was not carried forward. This changes all the numbers. And provides additional cash flow not noted earlier. Could allow Version 3 of budget to be utilized which includes new hires 2. Discussion of possible revised 2026 budget and referendum- Discussion on risks of new hires before getting referendum approved. Time frame to prepare for referendum discussed. It is possible to present referendum in August 2026 election rather than April 2026. 3. Recommendation for Board – Thummel motioned to recommend to the Town Board that the Town go with Version 2 of the 2026 Budget. And that the 2026 referendum be for public safety only, seconded by Nixdorf, motioned carried. 9) Old Business: None 10) Comments and Suggestions of Citizens present regarding items not on the agenda.
