Finance-Committee-Agenda-10-6-25 5621 Town Hall Road, Delavan, Wisconsin 53115 (262) 728-3471 - FAX (262) 728-3473 Email: bthummel@townofdelavan.com Office Hours: M – F, 8:30 AM – 4:30 PM Finance Committee Meeting Minutes The Town of Delavan Finance Committee held a Meeting on Monday, October 6th ,2025, 3:00 pm at Delavan Town Hall, 5621 Town Hall Rd, Delavan 1) Call to order – 3:00 pm 2) Roll Call – Nixdorf not present 3) Declaration of quorum for doing business 4) Approval of Agenda – Motion made by Starin to approve agenda, seconded by O’Connor, motion carried. 5) Approval of Minutes of 9-15-25 committee meeting – Motion to approve by Starin, seconded by O’Connor, motion carried. 6) Communications a. None 7) Comments and suggestions of citizens present regarding Items on the Agenda. Citizens’ comments limited to three (3) minutes. - None 8) New Business: 1. None 9) Old Business: a. Discussion/possible recommendation: Review of 2026 budget process and guidelines – Budget Hearing set for November 11, 2025 b. Discussion/possible recommendation: Review of Pre-liminary 2026 Budget and recommendation for Town Board – 3 different versions of the budget were discussed. Thummel made a motion to recommend Version 2 which is no new department hires, 2.5% increase across the board. Shortfall required to get to 2026 budget will come out of the Lake fund. Seconded by Starin, motion carried. c. Discussion/possible recommendation: Review of long-term cash flow – to be discussed further at future finance meetings. 10) Comments and Suggestions of Citizens present regarding items not on the agenda. Citizen’s comments limited to three (3) minutes. - None 11) Date of Next Meeting – TBD 12) Adjournment – Motion to adjourn at 4:03 pm made by O’Connor, seconded by Hartlaub, motion carried.
