FINANCE COMMITTEE Tuesday August 4, 2026 5:00 pm at CITY HALL 405 Jewel Street MINUTES _________________________________________________ Finance Members: Bob Chapman, Mike Cypert and Troy Justmann Others Invited: Meagan Buchda and Mayor Jane Fude Also Present: None 1. The Mee�ng was called to order at 5:00 pm and roll call was taken. 2. M. Cypert / T. Justmann mo�oned to approve the agenda. Mo�on carried. 3. T. Justmann / M. Cypert mo�oned to approve the June 2, 2026, minutes. Mo�on carried. 4. Public Comment: None. 5. Review, Discuss, and Possibly Approve City Hall remodel. Clerk/Treasurer discussed the possibility of enclosing City Hall lobby to provide adequate safety measures for staff. The enclosure would include adding some addi�onal walls with a service window for staff to assist customers. She provided an es�mate from Justmann Building & Trim in the amount of $7,200. This quote provides all building of walls and drywall. Clerk/Treasurer to obtain quotes for some minor electrical work. Drywall texture and paint are addi�onal costs. This project will be using funds from the 420 Fund ($8,400) and the remainder of costs from the 2024 unallocated debt service up to $12,000. Forward to Council. M. Cypert / B. Chapman mo�oned to approve City Hall project. Mo�on Carried 2-0 with an Abstain from Justmann. 6. Review, Discuss and Possibly Approve the purchase of Ipads for City Council using Cable TV funds. Clerk/Treasurer discussed the need for new Ipads for City Council mee�ngs. The old ones were purchased in 2019. The apple id is no longer working and the Ipads no longer support what is necessary to connect to the server. The purchase of the Ipads would be using the remainder of the 865 Cable TV Fund ($2,167) and the 2026 budgeted Cable TV account ($4,422). Since Cable TV has now been dissolved there is no longer a need for Fund 865. Clerk/Treasurer proposed the purchase of 9 new tablets in the amount of $3,241.71 at $360.19 apiece. Javis Industries will program them under their managed services at no addi�onal cost. A new camera to record monthly Council mee�ngs was purchased using these funds for $300. The remainder of the Cable TV budget will be approximately $3,047 and will be returned to the overall general fund at the end of 2026. Finance approved the purchase using already budgeted monies. B.
