________________________________________________ PUBLIC WORKS Wednesday June 24, 2026 6:30 PM at City Hall 405 Jewel Street MINUTES-AMENDED ________________________________________________ Members Present: Bart Coons, Doug Lee, Joe Ludtke, Dan Wegener, and Mayor Jane Fude Members Absent: Jeff Schoenwetter Also, Present: The Meeting was called to order at 6:34 pm and roll call was taken. Lee/Wegener motioned to approve the agenda. Motion carried. Wegener/Lee motioned to approve the minutes from May 27, 2026. Motion carried. Public/Citizen Comments: None Review, Discuss, and Possibly Approve Repairs to 14 ft Land Pride Mower. Motioned by Lee seconded by Wegener to approve repairs. Motion carried 2-0. Damaged mower needed $1200.00 gearbox and $2400.00 PTO shaft. Joe ordered the parts, and it was repaired by the DPW staff. Review and Discuss Parking at the Wild Goose Park. Discussed the present parking around the fields with cars parking on the grass. City ordinance could be relaxed to allow parking there (cheapest option) other options would be expensive. No action taken. Superintendent’s Report was presented . Joe reported that the there are some clam bucket issues on the case tractor. The last storm caused a lot of cleanup, stamped concrete replacement should be completed by the end of June. Asphalt will be completed by July 10th. Future Agenda Items – Discussed the fence around Fairfield Ave duplex and the need to replace it. Hopefully could be an assessable expense to the property. Joe estimates about $300.00. A sign is needed not allowing wheeled vehicles on plaza concrete. Five-year road plan, Joe has been reviewing with Alex. Talked about road restoration on W. North Street and South Street.
