Juneau Fire Department 128 E. Cross St Juneau, WI 53039 May 20, 2026 Deputy Chief Dave Beal called the monthly Juneau Fire Dept meeting to order and roll call was taken. Brian Smedema made a motion to approve the agenda, with Kevin Schultz seconding it, motion carried. Kevin Schultz made a motion to accept the previous meeting minutes, with Steve Graff seconding it, motion carried. There was a motion made by Brian Smedema to accept the treasurer's report, with John Schuster seconding it, motion carried. Public Comment: None Communications: May 26 and 27 finish up hose testing. June 14th Fly in breakfast at the airport. June 17 from 12:30 - 2:00 car seat inspection at the public safety building. July 7th touch a truck at the city park from 1-3. July 19th Burnett fundraiser, car show and water barrel. Funeral for past chief AL Weiss 12:30 - 1:45 service at 2. Training: Pump operations / review rural set up. July Foam operations and Airport. Fund Raising: 9/11 parade on 9/11/2026 Trap Shoot 9/12/2026 Fund Purchase: Nothing to Report Fire Prevention: Nothing to report Preplan & Inspection: Working on follow ups Membership: need more members. Maintenance: Pump test went well, all trucks passed. Air fill on 2365 needs to get fixed. Review Passed calls: We went over the previous month's calls. RRS: 150 Committee: Nothing to report Old Business: nothing to report Lexipol / Fire Rescue One: Independent study program. Once the online is completed it is added to your file. ESO: Truck check lists need to get done weekly, along with SCBA’s New Business: Health and safety committee will meet in June, need to form a committee. ( Dan Zank, Erin Schuster) Individual training records handed out, and Qualifications were handed out, if there is any issues get ahold of Chief. ICS 800 is available online.
