Meeting Minutes

February 10, 2026 Town of Hamilton Board meeting Chairman Kevin Hoyer called the board meeting to order at 7:30 PM by asking everyone in attendance to stand for the pledge of allegiance. Roll call was taken. Chairmen Kevin Hoyer, Supervisor Chase Aleckson, Supervisor Mark Dummer and Clerk/Treasurer Katie Reding were all present. Reding read the minutes from the January 13, 2026 board meeting. Amendments were made related to the Chairmen remarks regarding the salt/sand shed. The light pole change was to be added to the salt/sand shed, not the control building .Aleckson made a motion to approve the minutes after the amendments. Dummer made the second motion. Motion carried. Hoyer read the agenda as presented. Dummer made a motion to approve the agenda. Aleckson made the second motion. Motion Carried. No Public Comment was made Chairmen Remarks Hoyer stated construction of the 2nd phase started back up again. Electrical has been roughed in. Digging and excavating and forms are being set for the salt/sand shed. Melissa Emry came in front of the board requesting to rezone lot #7 parcel 7-930-5 on Old Hwy 16 West Salem from Ag to residential. Aleckson made a motion to rezone from Ag to residential. Dummer made the second motion. Motion Carried. 3-0 Multiple dog License approval requests . No one was present to request any multiple dog licenses. Travis Key and Bob Gollnik from LaCrosse Area Planning Committee came to present and give information on Safe Streets for all Program SEH Contract Aleckson made a motion to accept Agreement for Professional Services -Amendment #1 to increase the SEH contract by $9,500 to complete the 2nd phase to be completed by June 1, 2026. Dummer made the second. Motion carried. Road Report and Zoning Blaine Lee filled in to plow for Neil Hendrickson while he was out of town. Road crew worked on mowing up on Innsbruck and cleaning up equipment. Joe Langeberg from the County of LaCrosse informed us about the Small Structures Improvement Program and some eligible culverts in the Township. Recycle Center Two of the compactors froze during the last month. The new Compactor was ordered. Ronda Bond walked through the new recycle center set up with the electrician. No Payment requests for the 2nd phase were made at this time. Reding provided the financial report and Checks written report. Aleckson made a motion to approve the financial reports. Dummer made the second. Motion Carried. Two tax overpayment refund checks were sent out in the amount of Jeff Sarver $3.77 and $671.07 to Gerald and Kristi Doyle Monthly Bills were presented. Aleckson made a motion to pay the bills. Dummer made the second. Motion carried. Dummer made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 8:48 PM. Aleckson made the second motion. Motion carried.
