Meeting Minutes

Minutes for the June 10th, 2025 regular monthly board meeting Chairman Kevin Hoyer called the board meeting to order and asked everyone in attendance to stand for the pledge of allegiance. Roll Call was taken and everyone was present. Chairmen Kevin Hoyer, Supervisor Chase Aleckson, Supervisor Mark Dummer and Clerk/Treasurer Katie Reding. Katie Reding read the minutes from the May 13th, 2025 board meeting. Mark Dummer made a motion to approve as read and Chase Aleckson seconded the motion. Motion carried. Kevin Hoyer read the agenda. Chase Aleckson motioned to approve the agenda. Mark Dummer made a second. Motion carried. Public Comment Terry Craig was present and voiced his concern over a fencing issue on his parcel. Mark Dummer made a motion to approve the country boom event taking place at MGV venues taking place on July 10-12th, 2025. Chase Aleckson made the second. Motion Carried. Also noted that Kevin Hoyer issued the fireworks permit for Skyline Fireworks for the Country Boom Event. Emailed minutes to Michael Horstman at LaCrosse County Sheriff Office. Jon Labus was present from the Neshonoc Cemetery Association to give some more information regarding the Cemetery Association in the Town of Hamilton. Information only. Review offer of old Town Hall site. Mark Dummer made a motion to authorize Kevin Hoyer to negotiate the sale of the property of the old Town Hall N5105 Leonard St with the amount no less than $800,000.00 with a special meeting to discuss purchase offer Thursday, June 19th at 7 pm Chase Aleckson seconded the motion. Motion carried. Mark Dummer made a motion to extend Dawn Hougom Coldewell Banker Realtor contract for 12 months. Chase Aleckson made a second motion. Motion carried. Chase Aleckson made a motion to renew all alcohol licenses For the next year expiring June 30, 2026 Class B Beer-Top Dog Retreat, LLC, Neshonoc Lakeside, Jolivette Family Farms, Inc, LaCrosse Co. Ag. /Class B Beer Liquor Combo MGV, LLC & Uncle Chucks Snacks and Beverages, LLC New Town Hall Usage Agreement Mark Dummer made a motion to accept the contract to accept the rental agreement to allow The New Town Hall for usage for meetings. Chase Aleckson made the second. Motion carried. Mark Dummer made a motion to allow Chairman Kevin Hoyer to start looking at the bidding process of the second phase (salt/sand cold storage shed). Chase Aleckson seconded the motion. Motion carried. Kevin Hoyer briefly talked about some items the road crew has covered. He talked about the mowing that has been done and a large tree went down on Romskog road. Patch work that is being worked on on McKinley and Eggens Coulee Rd and Scott Construction plans to come to work on town road at the end of June. $1,000.00 earnest was put down for the mower tractor at Johnson Tractor. Recycle Center nothing noted. Chase Aleckson made a motion to approve the financial report. Mark Dummer made the second. Motion carried. Chase Aleckson made a motion to pay the bills.
