Meeting Minutes

Minutes for the regular monthly board meeting May 13, 2025 Chairman Kevin Hoyer called the May 13th, 2025 to order at 7:30 P.M. Roll call was taken Chairman Kevin Hoyer, Supervisors Chase Aleckson and Mark Dummer and Clerk/Treasurer Katie Reding were all present. Katie Reding read the minutes from the April Board meeting. Mark Dummer made the motion to approve the minutes as read. Chase Aleckson made the second. Motion carried. Kevin Hoyer read the agenda. Mark Dummer made the motion to approve as presented. Chase Aleckson made the second. Motion Carried. No public comment made. Russell Molling was not present regarding his culvert. No action was taken. Dawn Hougum was present from Coldwell Banker Realtor after discussion Chase Aleckson motioned to change the price on the Old Town Hall site at N5105 Leonard St. West Salem to 1.1 million. Mark Dummer made the second. Motion Carried. Dave Ring and Jon Holthaus were present and gave an update on the planning for the Country Boom Event taking place on July 10, 11 & 12, 2025. No action taken, just information given. Discussion took place regarding the usage of The New Town Hall for meetings for Clubs that are currently using the Town Hall. This is tabled until the June 13th meeting. No Zoning to report on. Discussion took place on options for a new Boom Mower Tractor. Mark Dummer made a motion to approve the purchase for a Boom Mower Tractor from Johnson Tractor for $156,000.00 after trade. Chase Aleckson made the second. Motion was carried. Road Report was given by Kevin Hoyer. Patching has been done on some of the town roads. Brushing and tree removal done on Briarcliffe and Moos Rd. Shouldering on Briarcliffe took place and worked on the culvert on Evenson Rd. Road Repair Bids were opened from the LaCrosse County and Scott's Construction. After reviewing the bids Mark Dummer made the motion to accept the bid from Scott Construction . The roads that will be worked on is Eggens Coulee Rd, Berg Rd, Settlers Trail, Bahr Rd and Fennigkoh Rd. Chase Aleckson made the second. Motion Carried. Chase Aleckson made a motion to approve the financial Report and Checks report. Mark Dummer made the second motion. Motion carried. Chase Aleckson made a motion to pay the bills. Mark Dummer made the Second. Motion Carried.Motion Carried. Chase Aleckson made a motion to adjourn the meeting at 9:40 PM. Mark Dummer made the second. Motion Carried.
