On January 29, 2026 Wendel Companies met with Department Heads for the City Hall, Police Department, Public Works, Library, and Senior Center to gather information for the Municipal Complex Immersion Feasibility Study. Scott Neal and Kyle Standen with Wendel Companies, met with members of the City Buildings Steering Committee to review the information gathered from the city department heads on January 29th pertaining to each department’s unique needs and uses for building space. The committee discussed different locations in the city that would potentially fit the building size according to the spatial needs. Locations considered were 145 W. Lincoln Street, 207 N. Stone Street, 616 W. Washington Street, and vacant land on Industrial Drive. They discussed the pros and cons of each location and determined W. Washington location would be ideal for a municipal complex that would house the Senior Center, Library, and City Hall. The Public Works Department and the Police Department would be better located in the industrial park. The committee also discussed the size of each department’s needs and determined space that could be shared. Shared space will greatly reduce the overall size of the buildings. Mr. Neal and Mr. Standen will compile the information discussed and will return to give the final refined site/basic floor plan presentation with 3d imaging ideas along with an opinion of probable cost for the next meeting. Cynthia Anderegg, City Clerk-Treasurer
