TOWN OF PLEASANT V ALLEY January 8, 2024 TOWN BOARD MEETING CALL THE MEETING TO ORDER Supervisor Doug Nelson called a Town Board Meeting of the Town of Pleasant Valley to order on Monday, January 8, 2024, in the Pleasant Valley Town Hall in Cleghorn at 7:00 p.m. PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE Supervisor Nelson called for the honoring of our flag with the Pledge of Allegiance. INTRODUCTION OF TOWN OFFICIALS Board members present: Supervisor Dan Green and Supervisor Doug Nelson. Staff members present: Jen Meyer, Clerk/Treasurer and Hwy Foreman, Wyatt Wathke. Absent: Chairman Dan Hanson CONFIRMATION OF PROPER POSTING Clerk/Treasurer Jen Meyer confirmed the meeting was properly posted more than 48 hours ahead of the meeting time on the Town webpage and the Town Hall posting board as allowed per state statute. PROCEDURES Motion (Green/Nelson) to dispense with the reading of the December 11 2023 Town board meeting and closed session minutes and approve as emailed and printed. Supervisor Nelson announced the ayes carry 2-0 and the motion is carried. Motion (Green/Nelson) to approve the Treasurers report for the month of December 2023 as presented and printed. Supervisor Nelson announced the ayes carry 2-0 and the motion is carried. LETTERS & REPORTS Town Chairman -none Town Supervisors -none Town Highway Supervisor -Boom mowing and brushing projects have been worked on with the lack of snow. Town Clerk/Treasurer -Hwy 93 study is complete and the WI DOT will not be installing traffic lights at Hickory or Cedar Rds. Park Committee/Lions Club/TFD -Scot Iverson shared they have not had any major calls yet since the dispatch has been moved to EC County. Other calls have been dispatched with no issues. -Frank Neibauer shared the Park Committee will be having a planning meeting soon to update the wish list. There is a possibility of trees being donated by a local company. Frank will be gathering more information. -Frank Neibauer and Dan Green discussed an upcoming meeting with APEX regarding the generator. -TFD and Lions will be holding a card party fundraiser in February and another fundraiser in May. CITIZEN INPUT COMPLAINTS 1 January 8 2024 meeting minutes con’t OLD BUSINESS NEW BUSINESS Budget Amendment – Resolution No. 24-16-01 A resolution amending the 2024 budget was presented. $25,000 in remaining funds from 2023 were allocated to the 2024 budget, mostly in road construction. Line items needed to be added for the 2023 LRIP reimbursement check that was not received until 2024. Motion (Green/Nelson) to approve Resolution No. 24-16-01 Supervisor Nelson announced the ayes carry 2-0 and the motion is adopted. 2024 Budget Review The budget as of January 8, 2024, was presented and reviewed.
