TOWN OF PLEASANT VALLEY TOWN ANNUAL MEETING MINUTES UN-APPROVED 2023 APRIL 18, 2023 The 2023 Town of Pleasant Valley Annual Meeting was called to order by Chairman Dan Hanson on Tuesday April 18, 2023, at 7:00 p.m. at the Town Hall located in Cleghorn. Chairman Hanson called for the honoring of the flag with the Pledge of Allegiance Attendance of Town officials included: Chairman Dan Hanson, Supervisor Dan Green and Supervisor Doug Nelson. Staff in attendance: appointed Clerk/Treasurer Jennifer Meyer and Highway Supervisor Wyatt Wathke. Other residents in attendance: Larry Heath, Jeff Bluem, Christi Bluem, Steve Olinger, Mary Osbourne, Laurie Groh, Joann Hazen, Ronald Hazen, Gary Osbourne, Jan Daus, Lorraine Henning, and Chuck Henning. 17 total attendees GENERAL PUBLIC COMMENTS: Chairman Hanson -Chairman Hanson shared with the group a power point regarding shared revenue, fire department and ambulance. Dan shared funding struggles regarding roads, our quality fire department and upcoming ambulance fee changes. PROCEDURES The clerk disbursed the minutes of the April 19, 2022, Town Annual Meeting for all to read. Motion by Larry Heath, second by Jan Daus to approve the minutes as printed. The chair called for a voice vote and announced said motion carried. Ayes 17 Nays 0 ANNUAL FINANCIAL REPORT The clerk distributed and read the 2022 Annual Financial report for the period of Jan 1, 2022 thru Dec. 31, 2022. Motion by Steve Olinger, second by Lorraine Henning to approve the report as presented. The chair called for a voice vote and announced said motion carried. Ayes 17 Nays 0 OTHER REPORTS / Chairman Dan Hanson - Chairman Hanson shared the road projects completed in 2022 and the projects scheduled for 2023. - Many of the meeting attendees live on Butternut Road. They shared concerns about the recent chip sealing that was completed in 2022. The Town will sweep the road and inspect the work for any potential product failures. - Considerable dialogue was exchanged regarding road funding, acceptable road conditions, road review, loans, and levy limits. OLD BUSINESS - None NEW BUSINESS – None ANNOUNCEMENTS The Board of Review for 2023 will be on May 16, 2023, from 10am – noon. 2023 ANNUAL MEETING DATE Motion by Jan Daus, second by Larry Heath to set the date for the 2024 Annual Meeting per Wis. Statute 60.11 (2) for Tuesday April 16, 2024, being the third Tuesday of April, at the Town Hall/Fire Station at Cleghorn at 7:00 p.m. The chair called for a voice vote and announced the said motion carried.
