APPROVED MINUTES TOWN OF SEYMOUR BOARD MEETING Vol. 39 Page 12 A meeting of the Seymour Town Board was held on Monday, May 11, 2026. Notice was posted at the Seymour Town Hall, Township Fire Dept. Station 1- and at www.townofseymour.org under “Agendas”. Board members present were Chair John Ailie, Supervisor Kerry Parker, and Supervisor Ken Schick. Also, present were Road Supervisor John Oxley, Clerk/Treasurer Jean Eisold, Deputy Clerk Sarah Smith, and 1 town resident. Chair John Ailie called the meeting to order at 7:03 p.m. and the Pledge of Allegiance was recited. MINUTES APPROVAL: Motion from Supervisor Schick to approve the 4/13/2026 Board Meeting minutes and 4/13/26 Special Meeting minutes. Motion seconded by Supervisor Parker. Motion carried 3-0. GENERAL COMMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC: Town resident addressed the Board with questions regarding the use of the Seymour Ball Fields. The Board explained that the fields are open for community and family use when the Seymour Ball Club is not in session. The Board also stated that any tournaments or organized use would need to be coordinated through the Seymour Ball Club, as they maintain the fields and own the ball field equipment. FINANCIAL REPORT: Board reviewed the Income Statement and Balance Sheet (reports attached). Board members had a few questions regarding the reports and requested they be reviewed again at the next meeting. Reviewed ROADS & BUILDINGS SUPERVISOR REPORT: See attached report provided by John Oxley. BUILDING INSPECTOR REPORT: Not present DISCUSSION AND ACTION ITEMS A. PICNIC LICENSE- BALL CLUB: Supervisor Schick made motion to approve all four picnic licenses submitted by the Seymour Ball Club. Motion seconded by Supervisor Parker. Motion carried 3-0. B. RURAL INSURANCE: Supervisor Parker made a motion to approve updating the policy to Agreed Value. Motion seconded by Supervisor Schick. Motion carried 3-0. Supervisor Parker made a motion to approve the higher deductible. Motion seconded by Supervisor Schick. Motion carried 3-0. C. MCKINLEY MULTI-USE PATH UPDATE: No new updates were provided. D. HALL REMODEL UPDATE: Chair Ailie, Supervisor Schick, and Road Supervisor Oxley met with River Valley Architects on May 7, 2026, to discuss interior options, project timeline, and possible expedited timeline if needed. Meetings are scheduled every two weeks. E. FAMILY PICNIC: The Board discussed sponsors, picnic invitations, and the possible purchase of a PA system. . BOARD MEMBERS COMMUNICATIONS A. The Board approved cash disbursements and payroll for April 14, 2026, through May 11, 2026. ADJOURNMENT: Supervisor Parker made motion to adjourn meeting. Motion seconded by Supervisor Schick.
