Assessor Alyssa Schultz submitted information on behalf of Bowmar Appraisal: 2026 Open Book/Board of
Review Dates: Open Book May 4 and BOR May 11; Assessment Ratio: The 2025 assessment ratio for Seymour is
96.90%. (Please note that the DOR has not yet published 2026 sales information.) This is an outstanding result
following the 2024 revaluation (which was 100.86% ratio in 2024) and is one of the strongest ratios I have seen among
our municipalities in the Chippewa Valley area; As long as sales prices do not significantly exceed our 2024 values and
the ratio remains within 10% of market value (100% so... 110% - 90%), the municipality will not be required to start the
five-year clock for another revaluation.
Clerk/Treasurer Jean Eisold provided the Financial Statement Highlights with the following documents submitted for
review: Audited 2024 Financials report with cash/investment balances as of 3/31/2026, Financial Statements with
Independent Auditor’s report, and Required Audit Communication report to the Town Board. Also reviewed the 2025
Cash Receipts Journal for hall/pavilion rentals, landfill reimbursements and miscellaneous refunds received
Battalion Chief Mike Rudd presented the 2025 Township Fire Department Annual Report. Township Fire operates five
stations within the county with a total of 130 active members, an increase of 13 members over the previous year. This
includes 93 volunteer firefighters, 16 Emergicare members, and 21 Firefighter/Emergicare members. The Town of
Seymour received 166 Emergicare calls, which represented 13.5% of the Department's total calls. Additionally, Seymour
responded to 93 total calls. This is the third year the Department has had minor injuries only with no lost days of work.
The Department also provided EMS staffing or standby support for nine special events throughout the year. A copy of the
Township Fire Department 2025 Annual Report was provided and is on file.
Patrolman Dakota Nichols provided an update on planned and ongoing road projects for the 2026 road work season. The
Town will be completing the following types of work: repaving, crack sealing, line striping, and cape sealing various
roads. Paving projects are scheduled for Sussex Drive and Northwood Court, with bids for these projects awarded on
April 13, 2026. The Town will also be requesting bids for repaving a section of Burnell Drive after July 1. This project
will be partially funded through the TRI Entitlement Program, with the Town of Seymour being one of three
municipalities in Eau Claire County selected to receive funding for the 2026–2027 cycle. In addition to these projects, the
Town will continue routine maintenance efforts, including pothole patching and annual mowing and brushing of road
rights-of-way. Residents are encouraged to report any road damage, vandalism to signage, or illegal dumping to the Town
Office. Seymour is looking to hire a part-time summer grounds person to assist with mowing and upkeep of Town
properties. If interested, apply at the Town Hall Office.
Clerk/Treasurer Jean Eisold reviewed the 2025 Municipal Separate Storm Sewer System (MS4) Report which is a report
of Town structures that gather stormwater and discharge that can affect local streams, lakes or rivers. The report captures
public education of Storm Water Management offered. Throughout 2025 we had four events providing information to the
public at the Elections, Annual Meeting, Annual Picnic, and in the Town newsletter. John Oxley and Dakota Nichols
inspected seventeen sites. No sites inspected showed signs of illicit discharge. Eau Claire County is responsible for
administering construction site pollutant control and post-construction storm water management requirements within the
Town.

Mile Creek enters the lake. Also talked about the Lake having an economic impact on Eau Claire County.
