APPROVED MINUTES TOWN OF SEYMOUR BOARD MEETING Vol. 39 Page 9 A SPECIAL meeting of the Seymour Town Board was held Monday, April 13, 2026, at 6:30 p.m. for purpose of awarding Road Bids for 2026. Notice was published in the Eau Claire Leader Telegram and posted at the Seymour Town Hall, Township Fire Dept. Station 1- and at www.townofseymour.org under “Agendas”. Board members present were Chair John Ailie, Supervisor Kerry Parker, and Supervisor Ken Schick. Also present were Clerk/Treasurer Jean Eisold, Deputy Clerk Sarah Smith, Roads/Building Supervisor John Oxley, and three contractor representatives. Chair John Ailie called the meeting to order at 6:32 p.m. Asphalt Paving: Motion made by Supervisor Parker to award project 26-1 to Monarch Paving (amount of $42,460.25) and award project 26-2 to Senn Blacktop (amount of $21,757.50) as recommended by Road Supervisor John Oxley. Motion seconded by Supervisor Schick. Motion carried 3-0. Base Coarse: Motion made by Supervisor Parker to award projects to Stelter Inc. (amount of $17.50/yard delivered) as recommended by Road Supervisor John Oxley. Motion seconded by Supervisor Schick. Motion carried 3-0. Pulverizing: Motion made by Supervisor Parker to award project to A-1 Excavating (amount of $2494.00, $5800 per mile x .43 miles) as recommended by Road Supervisor John Oxley. Motion seconded by Supervisor Schick. Motion carried 3-0. Pavement Marking: Motion made by Supervisor Parker to award project to Fahrner Asphalt Sealers (amount of $8,940.00) as recommended by Road Supervisor John Oxley. Motion seconded by Supervisor Schick. Motion carried 3-0. Cape Seal: Motion made by Supervisor Schick to award project to Struck & Irwin Paving, Inc (amount of $32,840.77). Motion seconded by Chair Ailie. Motion carried 3-0. Crack Sealing: Board declined both bids as presented from Fahrner Asphalt Sealers and Thunder Road for crack sealing of multiple road sections in the Town. Rebidding will be requested at a later date with clarifications on bid expectations and requesting a fall 2026 completion timeline.
