APPROVED MINUTES TOWN OF SEYMOUR BOARD MEETING Vol. 38 Page 16 A meeting of the Seymour Town Board was held Monday, May 12, 2025. Notice was posted at the Seymour Town Hall, Township Fire Dept. Station 1- and at www.townofseymour.org under “Agendas”. Board members present were Chair John Ailie, Supervisor Kerry Parker, and Supervisor Ken Schick. Also present were Road/Building Supervisor John Oxley, Building Inspector Fred Hankel, Clerk/Treasurer Jean Eisold, Deputy Clerk Sarah Smith, and 2 town residents. Chair John Ailie called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m. MINUTES APPROVAL: Motion from Supervisor Schick to approve the 04/14/2025 Special meeting to award road bids and 04/14/2025 meeting minutes as presented. Motioned seconded by Supervisor Parker. Motion carried. GENERAL COMMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC: A resident addressed the Board with concerns regarding the width of Peterson Road from Tower Drive to North Shore Drive. Resident expressed a desire to see the road expanded by one foot on each side, noting that with the town’s plans to redo the road this year, it would be a good opportunity to address the issue. Supervisor Parker and Road Supervisor Oxley responded, explaining that widening the road would be difficult due to a ravine on one side and the presence of a culvert, both of which would pose significant challenges to expansion. FINANCIAL REPORT: The Board reviewed the Income Statement with Budget Comparison for the four months ending April 30, 2025, as well as the Balance Sheet through April 30, 2025. Report is attached. Clerk Eisold recommended continuing the White Glove Service with the town’s website renewal. Removal of this service had been considered at the previous meeting, the board agreed to retain it in the plan. Clerk Eisold also requested approval for both her and Deputy Clerk Smith to attend the Wisconsin Towns Association Clerk Boot Camp in June. The Board approved attendance for both. ROADS & BUILDINGS SUPERVISOR REPORT: See attached report provided by John Oxley. Seasonal grounds and building employee T. Eisold started today. The Board asked Oxley to reach out to Lake Hallie in regard to the Vance Road project. Supervisor Schick informed that the arrow sign on the south side of Burnell & 50th is down. Resident informed of a large pothole on Perth Drive in need of repair. BUILDING INSPECTOR REPORT: Inspector Hankel informed the Board there are permits for two new houses and a new mobile home is being added in Cozy Acres. Otherwise, building permit activity has been relatively slow during this period. Need road in Heritage Estates before building permits can be issued. DISCUSSION ITEMS a) 140TH AVENUE BRIDGE- The town completed purchase of two land acquisition properties related to the bridge project. Clerk Eisold received an email from John Beckfield of CBS Squared Inc., addressing invoices the Town received for work in 2024, and 2025 fees from Jewel Associates.
