TOWN OF SEYMOUR BOARD MEETING Vol. 37 Page 23 A meeting of the Seymour Town Board was held Monday, November 11, 2024, immediately following the Special Towns Meeting of The Electors of the Town of Seymour. Notice was posted at the Seymour Town Hall, Township Fire Dept. Station 1- and at www.townofseymour.org under “Agendas”. Board members present were Chair Jessica Janssen, Supervisor Kerry Parker, Supervisor Ken Schick. Also present were Road Supervisor John Oxley, Deputy Clerk Sarah Smith, and 5 Town residents. Chair Jessica Janssen called the meeting to order at 6:52 p.m. MINUTES APPROVAL: Motion from Chair Janssen to approve the 10/14/2024 meeting minutes as presented. Seconded by Supervisor Schick. Motion carried. GENERAL COMMENTS FROM THE PUBLIC: None FINANCIAL REPORT: Reviewed Income Statement with Budget Comparison and Balance sheet through October 31st. Received notices that Wisconsin Towns Association, Diggers Hotline, and Huebsch will have slight fee increase starting in 2025. Received notice that September’s payment from the landfill will arrive this week. Relayed special lists are due to Eau Claire County by November 19th. Provided ARPA funds balance. ROADS & BUILDINGS SUPERVISOR REPORT: See attached report provided by John Oxley. BUILDING INSPECTOR REPORT: Not Present DISCUSSION ITEMS A) 140TH AVENUE BRIDGE: Will review project at end of 2024. As of now, the project is coming in above the proposed budget. Currently there is no federal funding available to help with the additional cost. B) Election: The Wisconsin Election Commission visited November 5th for the General Election and conducted a survey to determine compliance with state accessibility standards. The Town of Seymour has been selected for an election related audit that will be performed later this month. ACTION ITEMS A) HUNTING PERMITS: Gun hunting permit application submitted by L. Wollenziehm. Supervisor Parker motion to approve permit. Motion seconded by Supervisor Schick; motion carried. Archery permit application submitted by J. Janssen. Supervisor Parker motion to approve permit. Motion seconded by Supervisor Schick; motion carried. BOARD MEMBERS COMMUNICATIONS A. The next Board Meeting will be December 9, 2024 B. 140th Bridge C. Backup generator electrical update for Fire Station D. Office Computers E. Building Permit Fee- Resolution F. Plat 8 and 9 if any action has been taken SIGN CHECKS AND FORMS: A/P checks were signed. The board approved cash disbursements and payroll for October 14, 2024, through November 11, 2024. ADJOURNMENT: Motion by Supervisor Parker to adjourn meeting. Motion seconded by Supervisor Schick.
