1 Board Meeting October 14, 2025 The meeting was called to order by Chair Jennifer Meyer. Flag Salute Adopt Agenda: Supervisor Megan Bischel made a motion to adopt agenda. Supervisor Jeff Whyte seconded the motion. All voted yes, motion carried. Attendance: Chair Jennifer Meyer, Supervisor Megan Bischel, Supervisor Jeff Whyte all in attendance. Supervisors Paul Travis and Mona Mathews. not in attendance. Approve Minutes: September 9th meeting minutes: Supervisor Megan Bischel made a motion to approve. Supervisor Jeff Whyte seconded the motion. All voted yes, motion carried. Visit Eau Claire: Kenzi Havlicek and Dana Crosson both in attendance. Monthly handout was handed out. Went over next Years, 2026, contract. Board to go over and approve at next month’s meeting. Comp Plan: No land use applications and Comp Plan did not meet. Culvers on Truax is set to open 1st of November. Harter’s Disposal on Lyle Lane, set to open February 2026. Park Commission: - Monthly meeting update: Barb Kleist was in attendance. Barb Kleist mentioned that the vault toilet for The Conservancy is set but not open yet. Inspection is done. Pleasant Hill Go-Getters did clean up at Sherman Creek Park. Blue Ox has started trail maintenance at The Conservancy. Looking at doing steps to the river, Lumberman’s Trail. Would like to use destination dollars. Fire Station #3: - Monthly report / Battalion Chief Eddie Yates was in attendance. Reported a couple fires and crashes. Flag at Township Fire Station waiting for boom truck. Roads: - Ditch mowing through EC CO HWY & Station 3 are complete. Limb cutting on town roads is underway. 2 - Any other road business: Chair Jennifer Meyer is talking with Brian at Eau Claire County Highway Dept. regarding grant writing. Truax Lane grant writing for TRIP grant is done for 2026 work. Looking at N. Town Hall Rd past 312. Soil boring for Truax Lane to be done next month. Public Comment The purpose of public comment is to provide members of the public with an opportunity to present information to the Board. It is not intended for interactive debate. There will be no response or comment from the Town of Union Board Supervisors. Wis Stat §19.84(2) Metropolitan Planning Organization: - Chair Jennifer Meyer went to 10.08.2025 meeting. This was a meeting on policy and went over study on crashes. Utility Applications: - Anderson Drive and Rosewood Lane. Review and Approve: - Monthly expenditures: Clerk Beverly Christopherson handed out the Payables report. Chair Jennifer Meyer made a motion to approve as presented to the Board, with the addition of Huffcutt for Conservancy and Township Fire for brush cutting. Supervisor Megan Bischel seconded the motion along with 2 additional. All voted yes, motion carried. Treasurer’s Report: - Treasurer John McLaughlin; monthly financials report handed out. Licenses: - None Town Properties: - Town Hall: annual fire inspection report; replace pads for AED, repair maintenance room light. - Transfer Station: a. new part-time attendant for hire, begin 1-1-26. b. Improve low area to allow for easier/loading and offloading of roll-off dumpsters, includes adding rock to the recycled tires area as well. c. County Recycling update; to postpone funding any concrete improvements d.
