1 Board Meeting August 12, 2025 The meeting was called to order by Chair Jennifer Meyer. Flag Salute Adopt Agenda: Supervisor Mona Mathews made a motion to adopt agenda. Supervisor Paul Travis seconded the motion. All voted yes, motion carried. Attendance: Chair Jennifer Meyer, Supervisor Megan Bischel, Supervisor Jeff Whyte, Supervisor Mona Mathews And Supervisor Paul Travis all here. Approve Minutes: June 10th meeting minutes: Supervisor Mona Mathews made a motion to approve. Chair Jennifer Meyer seconded the motion. All voted yes, motion carried. Comp Plan: River & Roots Concept: Looking to re-zone for organic foods and flowers – will have walking trails and be family friendly. Visit Eau Claire : Nothing received from Visit Eau Claire. Park Commission: - Monthly meeting update: Barb Kleist was not in attendance. Chair Jennifer Meyer mentioned that the Park Commission is looking at putting playground equipment at the Town Hall. Park Commission might do a newsletter. Fire Station #3: - Monthly report / Battalion Chief Eddie Yates was in attendance. Mr. Yates mentioned the Town had a couple calls. A new battery was needed for the front door of fire station. Roads: - ditch and right of way clearing and maintenance – need to get someone to clear the brush/over hang on the ditch. Will talk with Gary Tiddel to see if he wants to do the work. - Jurisdictional roads meeting with City of EC and Municipalities - Multiple road improvement discussion – Kane Rd. is washing out, Have to look at different way of taking care of. Maybe have a meeting with home owners to discuss options. Will move forward with Sportsman Dr. 2 - Any other road business - none Metropolitan Planning Organization: - Next meeting is end of August Board Supervisor reports: - 7/31/25 WTA Unit meeting in Bridge Creek – Chair Jennifer Meyer and Supervisor Mona Mathews attended the meeting. - .gov webinar - EC CTY Emergency Management public comment – simulation training for mass plane crash. - Any other - none Public Comment The purpose of public comment is to provide members of the public with an opportunity to present information to the Board. It is not intended for interactive debate. There will be no response or comment from the Town of Union Board Supervisors. Wis Stat §19.84(2) Louis was here, lives on 34th and 33rd. Signage is missing. Speed Limit is missing right off Folsom Street. Folsom from 34th St has some road issues and he mentioned that Baxter Road has trees hanging over road. Board will look at. Utility Applications: - 2955 Skyhawk Dr./row drill for coax cable/Spectrum Review and Approve: - Monthly expenditures: Clerk Beverly Christopherson handed out the Payables report. Supervisor Mona Mathews made a motion to approve as presented to the Board, with the addition of the bill for skid steer work done by Tony Bischel. Supervisor Jeff Whyte seconded the motion along with addition of bill. All voted yes, motion carried. Treasurer’s Report: - Treasurer John McLaughlin; monthly financials report handed out. John McLaughlin not in attendance. Licenses: - Operator’s License – Chair Jennifer Meyer made a motion to approve all operator’s licenses as presented to the Board. Supervisor Megan Bischel seconded the motion. All voted yes, motion carries. 3 Town Properties: - Transfer Station: a. improvements to the facility through the Recycling program discussion with Rod Eslinger and Regan Watts. Tire Shed, cement slabs b. Driveway improvements / July 15, 2025 – Eau Claire County will pay for any driveway work. - Conservancy: a.
