1 Board Meeting July 08, 2025 The meeting was called to order by Chair Jennifer Meyer. Flag Salute Adopt Agenda: Supervisor Mona Mathews made a motion to adopt agenda. Supervisor Paul Travis seconded the motion. All voted yes, motion carried. Attendance: Chair Jennifer Meyer, Supervisor Megan Bischel, Supervisor Jeff Whyte, Supervisor Mona Mathews And Supervisor Paul Travis all here. Approve Minutes: June 10th meeting minutes: Supervisor Mona Mathews made a motion to approve. Chair Jennifer Meyer seconded the motion. All voted yes, motion carried. Comp Plan: No Applications. Visit Eau Claire : Nothing received from Visit Eau Claire. Park Commission: - Monthly meeting update: Barb Kleist was in attendance. Barb Kleist mentioned that the vault bathroom has been ordered. Sarah Peleschak has been mowing Sherman Creek Park. Park Commission is still waiting to hear back regarding Erosion issue at Sherman Creek. Park Commission asked Fire Dept. about ideas for fall event at the Conservancy. Waiting to hear back. Maybe a CPR demonstration Leopold benches have been donated for Sherman Creek Park. Bit and Spur Club 100-year Anniversary Celebration has been cancelled. New sidewalk, curb, and gutter at Sherman Creek School. Fire Station #3: - Monthly report / Battalion Chief Eddie Yates not in attendance. Supervisor Paul Travis gave update: Pull Tabs and popcorn sold at Blue Ox. Did have a couple EMS calls at Blue Ox. Pull Tabs also sold at Summer Jam and Country Jam. Roads: - Chuck Lane – Run off by River States Trucking to Hwy. 312. Did some ditching hoping it helps, lots of truck traffic. 2 . - Eau Claire County Highway Culvert maintenance – have not heard if started. - Ditch mowing/Station #3 will start June 5th. - Any other road business – West Folsom Street needs some holes Patched. This is from Town Hall Road to the East. Folsom Street from County Hwy. CC also needs road work. Metropolitan Planning Organization: - No meeting Public Comment The purpose of public comment is to provide members of the public with an opportunity to present information to the Board. It is not intended for interactive debate. There will be no response or comment from the Town of Union Board Supervisors. Wis Stat §19.84(2) Louis was here, lives on 34th and 33rd. Signage is missing. Speed Limit is missing right off Folsom Street. Folsom from 34th St has some road issues and he mentioned that Baxter Road has trees hanging over road. Board will look at. Utility Applications: - None Review and Approve: - Monthly expenditures: Clerk Beverly Christopherson handed out the Payables report. Supervisor Mona Mathews made a motion to approve as presented to the Board. Chair Jennifer Meyer seconded the motion. All voted yes, motion carried. Treasurer’s Report: - Treasurer John McLaughlin; monthly financials report handed out. John McLaughlin not in attendance but he did ask the Clerk to let the Board know that money has been moved back money market. Licenses: - Operator’s License – Chair Jennifer Meyer made a motion to approve all operator’s licenses as presented to the Board. Supervisor Mona Mathews seconded the motion. All voted yes, motion carries. Town Properties: - Conservancy electrical panel damage / repair updates. Supervisor Paul Travis o still has to do. Also, fire station lights need replacing - Town of Union Board to review Municipal Code Fee Schedule / discussion next 3 o month. - Transfer Station Road needs crushed granite. Supervisor Megan Bischel will o look into this.
