1 Board Meeting December 10, 2024 The meeting was called to order by Chair Jennifer Meyer. Flag Salute Adopt Agenda: Supervisor Paul Travis made a motion to adopt agenda. Chair Jennifer Meyer seconded. All voted yes, motion carried. Attendance: Chair Jennifer Meyer, Supervisor Paul Travis, Supervisor Megan Bischel, Supervisor Jeff Whyte and Supervisor Mona Mathews all in attendance. Approve Minutes: November 12 th meeting minutes: Supervisor Mona Mathews made a motion to approve. Supervisor Megan Bischel seconded the motion. All voted yes, motion carried. Comp Plan: - No Applications - Chair Jennifer Meyer had a meeting with City of Eau Claire to talk about Boundaries for SSA. Visit Eau Claire: - Dana from Visit Eau Claire was in attendance to go over her report. Park Commission: - Monthly meeting update: Barb Kleist was not in attendance. Chair Jennifer Meyer gave update: The rip rap that was done by Sherman Creek Elementary School has an issue again. Eau Claire County Highway Dept. came to look at and give ideas on how to fix. Working on signage at Sherman Creek Park. Fire Station #3: - Monthly report / Battalion Chief Eddie Yates mentioned that they have had many calls this past month. Roads: - County Line Road update/punch list site visit: Dennis Mack from Cedar Corp was in attendance to go over update on road. Menards has mentioned that water does not flow as well by bagging plant – look and correct in spring. In the Spring will have to check the ponds to see if any issues with run off. DNR Storm Water permit is for 3 years. Seasonal weight limit signs one by Church will stay up through 2025. - EC CTY HWY Boom cutting updates/Silvermine Dr: A letter has been sent to all residents on Silvermine Dr. to let them know cutting will be sometime from 2 January to March. - Guardrail replacement on Lakeshore Dr./approve Dunn CTY HWY Invoice $8,073.16. Chair Jennifer Meyer mentioned that this is a Town of Union Road. Bill is in payables to be approved. - Any other road business – None Public Comment The purpose of public comment is to provide members of the public with an opportunity to present information to the Board. It is not intended for interactive debate. There will be no response or comment from the Town of Union Board Supervisors. Wis Stat §19.84(2) Metropolitan Planning Organization: - Policy Council meeting: January 29, 2025: - SSA TAC meeting TBD Jan/Feb 2025: Utility Applications: - None Review and Approve: - Monthly expenditures: Clerk Beverly Christopherson handed out the Payables report. Supervisor Mona Mathews made a motion to approve as presented to the Board. Supervisor Paul Travis seconded the motion. All voted yes, motion carried. Treasurer’s Report: - Treasurer John McLaughlin; monthly financials report handed out, Nothing new with financials. All tax bills have been mailed. Licenses: - Operator’s: Supervisor Mona Mathews made a motion to approve Operator’s licenses as reported to the Board. Supervisor Paul Travis seconded the motion. All voted yes, motion carried. Town Properties: - Street light inventory discussion: Need more clarification from Excel - Town Hall ADA compliance update: Nothing received from Election Commission - Any other Town property concerns – Fire station has burnt out light Scheduled Town Meetings/Events: - Thursday, January 2, 2025, Comp Plan meeting / 6:30pm / Union Town Hall - Wednesday, January 8, 2025, Park Commission Meeting / 9:30am / Union Town Hall - Tuesday, January 14, 2025, Town Board Meeting / 6:30pm / Union Town Hall Adjourn 3 This Board meeting was adjourned at 8:20pm.
