PARK COMMISSION MINUTES December 4, 2024 Meeting called order at 9:40am Commission members in attendance: Fred Belay, Jennifer Meyer, Kathy Alf, Tom Roach, Barb Kleist, and Dean Kallenbach Adopt agenda; motion made by Kathy/ sec Jennifer and passed. Approval of November 6, 2024 minutes; motion made by Jennifer /sec Fred and passed. Financial Report Total expenses paid in November $ 2,229.42 Total year to date $ 22,811.31 Town of Union Treasurer Report dated November 12, 2024 shows Visit EC Dest. Dev. Balance $ 30,710.99 Nicolet Park Checking balance $ 4,205.31 of which $ 2,061.00 is for the Aylen Bain Memorial Motion to approve financial report made by Tom/ sec Dean and passed. No work log hours reported. Invoices to approve: Blue Ox incoming invoice for trail clean up at Conservancy approved up to $ 2,500.00 Quality Quick Print incoming invoice for thank you cards amount to be determined. Motion to approve invoices made by Jennifer /sec Tom and passed. Parks Discussion Sherman Creek Park The erosion rip rap is coming apart. Jennifer, Barb and Jeff Whyte are meeting with the officials from Eau Claire County and The Eau Claire Area School District to discuss the issue. Conservancy We are still waiting to get the results from the survey done by Visit Eau Claire. Old Business Updating the 2024-2025 Town of Union Park Commission Work Plan was worked on.
