Page 1 of 2 Special Village Board Meeting Minutes 06/02/2025 Village of Hammond Special Board Meeting Meeting Minutes Monday, June 2, 2025 7:00 p.m. Village Hall, 105 East 1st Street, Hammond, IL 61929 1. Call to Order John called the meeting to order at 7:00 PM. 2. Roll Call Present: Absent: - Jon Drummond, President - Kim Gee, Trustee - Lauren Molby, Trustee - Linda Brown, Trustee - Billie Larkins, Trustee - Josh Bartley, Trustee - Tricia Harvey, Secretary/Deputy Clerk - Kelsey Wells, Clerk/Treasurer 1) Public Comment  Public comment period shall not exceed 30 minutes (5min per person) for open board and zoning meetings.  Public comment regarding a personal letter from the Village of Hammond attorney will not be acknowledged during Public Comment. Comments and questions are to be directed to the attorney as stated in the correspondence.  Public comment time is not intended to require members of the Board or staff to provide responses. If needed, there will be a follow-up after the meeting or an addition to the agenda for the next meeting.  Discussion of agenda items by the board will be focused on the topic at hand. Any questions that may come about regarding other issues will be saved for wrap-up comments at the end of the agenda. New Business 2) Discussion/ Action re: Resignations of Trustees John opened this for discussion and acceptance of the Resignation of Trustees Linda Brown and Kimberly Gee. John accepted their resignations. Billie Rae made motion to accept both resignations of Trustees Linda Brown and Kimberly Gee. Lauren seconded that Motion. Both resignations of Trustees Linda Brown and Kimberly Gee are accepted. 3) Discussion/ Action re: Administration of the oath of newly appointed trustees to the Village of Hammond Board. John opened this for discussion to appoint two (2) new Trustee replacements. Nathan J. Tavoletti appointed in Linda Brown’s seat and Pamela Sue Thompson appointed in Kimberly Gee’s seat. Lauren made motion to appoint Nathan J. Tavoletti appointed in Linda Brown’s seat and Pamela Sue Thompson appointed in Kimberly Gee’s seat. Billie Rae seconded that Motion. All in Favor. No Nays. President John Hammond administered the Oath or Affirmation of Office to Nathan J. Tavoletti. Nathan accepted his appointment and signed his sworn Oath. President John Hammond administered the Oath or Affirmation of Office to Pamela Sue Thompson. Pamela accepted her appointment and signed her sworn Oath. 4) Discussion/Action re: adoption of an ordinance concerning administrative structure, duties, or policies. John opened the new 2025-05 Ordinance concerning administrative structure, duties, or policies for discussion. Each Trustee has a copy and reviewed it during the meeting while questions were answered from the public. Billie Rae made motion to adopt the ordinance 2025-05 concerning administrative structure, duties and/or policies and Lauren seconded that Motion. All in Favor. No Nays. 5) Adjournment Motion to adjourn by Lauren Molby. Seconded by Billie Rae Larkins. Meeting adjourned at 7:44pm.
