Village of Hammond, Special Board Meeting April 21, 2025 7:00 pm at the Village Hall Call to order at 7:00 pm Roll call: Linda Brown-here, Kim Gee-here, Lauren Molby-here, John Drummond-here, Billie Larkins-here, Kelsey Wells-here, Josh Bartley-here. Special Event Planning: The Event Committee put together an event to take place May 10, 2025. This will be at no cost to the Village. This is a thank you for everyone; to bring community together. Billie made the motion to have the block party May 10, 2025, from 4:00-8:00, potentially blocking First Street from Don Ryan to “D” Street, with a 2nd by Lauren. This will be an alcohol-free event. All in favor; motion carried. Annual Clean Up Day: The cost of a 4th dumpster is $575.00. Can a 4th dumpster be on standby in case we need it? Does this need to be paid in advance? Kelsey made the motion to pay Waste Management $575.00 for a 4th dumpster if needed, with a 2nd by Lauren. Roll call vote: Linda- yes, Kim-yes, Lauren-yes, Billie-yes, Kelsey-yes, Josh-yes. 6 ayes; motion carried. John announced that the Personnel Committee will meet from 6:30 pm – 7:00 pm, May 13, 2025, before the monthly Board Meeting. John has pulled seven resumes-these need to be emailed to Lauren. Shawnee Communications is also donating a tree to the Village and it will be planted April 26, 2025, at 10:00 am. The whole board is encouraged to attend.
