Roll Call Clerk informs the Open Meeting Law has been complied with Present: Alderpersons Tod Anderson, Marie Blaser, Terry Nelson, and Nanette Mohr. Also Present: Deputy Clerk Treasurer Chelsea Henkel, Police Chief Jess Keplinger. Mayor William Pecha and Fire Chief Greg Rudie PUBLIC INPUT: Chairperson Anderson informed the committee that we are looking for upgrades for our internet and phone service. 1. Approval of agenda as presented MOTION: Nelson/Blaser Motion to accept the agenda as presented. Voice Vote: All Ayes MOTION CARRIED 2. Approval of Minutes of September 22, 2016 and October 17, 2016 MOTION: Blaser/Anderson Motion to approve the minutes from September 22, 2016 and October 17, 2016. Voice Vote: Blaser/Anderson aye, Nelson abstains MOTION CARRIED 3. Discussion and Possible action on firework permit for the Gillett Business Association for 12-3-16 MOTION: Nelson/Blaser Motion to approve the firework permit for the Gillett Business Association for December 3, 2016 Christmas in the Park, to send onto Council for approval. Voice Vote: All Ayes MOTION CARRIED 4. Report out on new hires for Police Department – Police Chief Jess Keplinger Chief Keplinger reported one will start the first week of November; the other will need some Field Training. The department is very satisfied with the new hires and looks forward to their start dates. 5. Report out on Fire apparatus repairs- Fire Chief Greg Rudie Engine 1911 and 1912 are both fixed and certified. The Ladder Truck is still being worked on. 6. Discussion and Possible action on 2017 Budget Finance and Personnel are balancing the budget and cuts were asked to be made in the Police and Fire Department. Both departments found some savings. 7.
