CITY OF GILLETT PARKS & CEMETERY COMMITTEE MEETING Council Chambers – Municipal Building 150 N McKenzie Ave – Gillett, WI 54124 THURSDAY, APRIL 27, 2023 AT 5:30 PM MINUTES Chairman Gildemeister called the meeting to order at 5:32 PM. Roll Call Present: Alderpersons Jon Gildemeister, Nanette Mohr, and Jerry Luther Also Present: Clerk Treasurer Chelsea Anderson, Alderpersons Irene Drake and Jacob Ketchem, Utility Operator Ron Anderson and Fire Chief Kurt Hicks. Katie Daul from Gillett Area Chamber of Commerce, Gary Hougas Finnegan Lake Walleye Club, Deanna Smith Gillett Historical Society, Wendy Vorpahl Gillett East Main Street Club, and Lisa Sorlie Civic Club, Steve Tousey Finnegan Lake President, And Ann Hendricks. Excused Mayor Josh McCarthy, Clerk informs Committee that Open Meeting Law has been complied with and Roll has been taken. Public Input- None AGENDA ITEMS: 1. Discussion and Possible Action on minutes from March 23, 2023 MOTION: Mohr/Gildemeister Motion to approve minutes from March 23, 2023 Voice Vote: All Voting Aye – MOTION CARRIED 2. Discussion and Possible Action on Park Rental Form/Special Event Form and Fees- Gary spoke that we need to help the organizations and asked we do not use them to build our budget. Organizations asked questions about the fees. Barricade and cones will have a deposit down to be rented or used. MOTION: Luther/Mohr Motion to approve $150 per event, 50 refundable, and remove special event fee. Refund 2023 payments made at higher price. Roll Call Vote: All Voting Aye – MOTION CARRIED MOTION: Luther/Mohr Cones and barricades deposit down of $150, plus $100-dollar delivery fee. Voice Vote: All Voting Aye – MOTION CARRIED 3. Discussion and Possible Action on posts in the park for Chamber of Commerce- wanted to add fitness signs around path. Requesting locations. MOTION: Luther/Mohr Motion to approve Chamber of Commerce installing fitness posts in okayed locations. Voice Vote: All Voting Aye – MOTION CARRIED 4. Set Next Meeting Date- To be determined. 5.
