CITY OF GILLETT PARKS & CEMETERY COMMITTEE MEETING Council Chambers – Municipal Building 150 N McKenzie Ave – Gillett, WI 54124 MONDAY, NOVEMBER 26, 2018 FOLLOWING PUBLIC WORKS MEETING MINUTES Chairman Hubbard called the meeting to order at 6:15 PM. Roll Call Present: Alderpersons Sandy Hubbard, Josh McCarthy, and Matt Stroik. Also Present: Deputy Clerk Treasurer Chelsea Henkel, Mayor James Beaton, Alderpersons Nanette Mohr, Marie Blaser, Irene Drake, and Public Works Foreman Shane Rank. Clerk informs Committee that Open Meeting Law has been complied with and Roll has been taken. PUBLIC INPUT- None AGENDA ITEMS: 1. Discussion and Possible Action on minutes from October 15, 2018 MOTION: Stroik/McCarthy Motion to approve the minutes from October 15, 2018. Voice Vote: All Voting Aye – MOTION CARRIED 2. Discussion and Possible Action on Cemetery Contract - Contract is up this year. Public Works Forman will get quotes from 3 or more businesses. 3. Discussion and Possible action on Trailhead – Bid from Huffcutt for $80,500 precast restroom/ shower with porcelain fixtures. Looking for more quotes. 4. Discussion and Possible action on weed spraying for city parks-contract is also up for weed spraying and fertilizing. Public Works Forman will get quotes from 3 or more businesses. 5. Discussion and Possible action on Event Ordinance- Committee will work on an ordinance for events held in the parks. Line item will be asked to be done by Health, Protection, and Licensing. 6. Next Meeting Date – January 2, 2019 following Public Works Meeting. 7. Adjournment at 6:40. MOTION: Stroik/McCarthy Motion to adjourn.
