CITY OF GILLETT UTILITY COMMITTEE MEETING Council Chambers – Municipal Building 150 N McKenzie Ave – Gillett, WI 54124 MONDAY, NOVEMBER 26, 2018 AT 5:00 PM MINUTES Chairperson Drake called the meeting to order at 5:00 pm. Roll Call Present: Alderperson Irene Drake, Sandra Hubbard, Marie Blaser, Mayor James Beaton, Deputy Clerk Treasurer Chelsea Henkel. Public committee members Ruth Spang and Louie Danielson, Utility Operator Ron Anderson, Alderperson Matthew Stroik and Nanette Mohr. PUBLIC INPUT: None AGENDA ITEMS: 1. Discussion and Possible Action on October 25, 2018 Minutes MOTION: Danielson/Spang Motion to approve the minutes from October 25, 2018. Voice Vote: All voting aye – MOTION CARRIED 2. Report on Septage Construction Project- Auger has been pulled and cleaned, concrete will be cut to accommodate the new prescreen to be put in. 3. Report on Meter Reading Software- Badger has been ordered as it will integrate with the accounting software in the clerk’s office and we can complete the changes of meter heads in phases. Badger also comes with a web based system so that the residents can log into a portal and see how much water they are using. 4. Discussion and Possible Action on Final Pay Request MOTION: Blaser/Hubbard Motion to approve the final pay request to Ayres for construction management for $5,937.89 water portion and sewer portion $7,787.43 Roll Call Vote: All voting aye – MOTION CARRIED MOTION: Danielson/Spang Motion to approve the final pay request to Degroot for $188,314.09 water and $137,954.57 for sewer. Roll Call Vote: All voting aye – MOTION CARRIED 5. Discussion and Possible Action on Financial Statement- Reviewed the Statement and Check Register 6. Discussion and Possible Action on 2019 Budget MOTION: Danielson/Blaser Motion to approve the proposed 2019 Budget. Roll Call Vote: All voting aye – MOTION CARRIED 7. Discussion and Possible Action on 2019 Construction Projects- Scheduled for April 15, 2019 Birch Avenue will be started. Completion date is scheduled for July 15, 2019. 8. Set next meeting date – January 3, 2019 at 5:00 PM. 9. Adjournment at 5:25 PM MOTION: Spang/Danielson Motion to adjourn.
