Once a case is referred to the child support agency, financial account management is done electronically through the KIDS system. It appears that HHS is also attempting to track repayment based upon revenue that is disbursed back to the county. Providing balance information (at point in time) for additional tracking purposes will never be accurate as payments come in and post throughout the month. Moreover, when balances accrue, interest tolls in addition to past due support. • 4th quarter time study requests have been issued to the cooperative agreement agencies. • Maria successfully set up a Pay As You Go account with Language Line to ensure the department has met Limited English Proficiency requirements established by the state contract. Language Line provides ‘on demand’ interpreter services in 240 different languages and charges by the minute with no minimums. We will continue to enlist Spanish interpreter assistance provided by the Brown County CSA team at no charge however, we are now perfectly situated to meet any other language need with a quick phone call to the Language Line. • Hanna attended the 1st session of WeCOPE through UW Extension which was held as a Lunch & Learn onsite. • The Bureau of Regional Operations NE Representative, Matthew Irwin, visited the agency on September 29th for an onsite Annual Review. Information was shared with Matt regarding best practices to increase performance in current support and arrears collections. The check-in is a great opportunity to connect with the regional office who serves as a liaison between the agencies and BCS. • The federal fiscal year has ended, and the agency saw a significant uptick in collections based upon the concerted efforts being made to perform outreach, mitigate administrative enforcement actions 89.00% 89.50% 90.00% 90.50% 91.00% 91.50% 92.00% 92.50% 93.00% 93.50% Marinette Oconto Shawano Court Order Establishment Rate 62.00% 64.00% 66.00% 68.00% 70.00% 72.00% 74.00% 76.00% 78.00% 80.00% Marinette Oconto Shawano Current Support Collection Rate 100.50% 101.00% 101.50% 102.00% 102.50% 103.00% 103.50% 104.00% 104.50% Marinette Oconto Shawano Paternity Establishment Rate 0.00% 10.00% 20.00% 30.00% 40.00% 50.00% 60.00% 70.00% 80.00% 90.00% Marinette Oconto Shawano Arrears Collection Rate and, when necessary, proceed judicially with remedial contempt actions. In arrears collections, the increase was significant from the previous year’s performance and in current support collections, we were happy to see an increase in percentages over the past few months. • The agency has been working with the Treasurer’s office to streamline the ACH process for revenue collections, monthly. State reimbursement checks had been previously snail mailed and then interofficed to the Treasurer’s department. Once a system can be worked out to ensure that funds are credited to the correct GL, the electronic process will be much more efficient. • Given that October is Domestic Violence Awareness month, Oconto CSA staff joined Brown County virtually to participate in Domestic Violence 101 training provided by the Golden House in Green Bay. cc: Richard Heath, Administrator OCONTO COUNTY DISTRICT ATTORNEY MONTHLY REPORT 2026 Docs Gen UR Cases Cases Referred Filed Cases No Pros Cases Under Review Cases CF Cases CM Cases CT Cases TR & FO Cases DV SA Drug Alcohol Month January 839 89 42 20 24 15 5 7 14 11 6 23 5 February 705 65 31 19 14 8 5 11 5 14 2 18 3 March 677 81 38 23 18 13 5 12 7 6 1 22 2 April 582 93 57 22 13 31 7 8 9 12 1 28 5 May 640 90 48 18 22 20 5 9 11 12 1 19 7 June 542 101 40 10 49 22 9 1 9 5 4 21 8 July 665 90 38 8 44 18 7 2 10 5 1 16 7 August 793 91 40 13 37 16 9 5 10 12 1 23 3 September 649 887 97 41 13 41 22 5 6 6 4 3 18 5 October November December Year Total 6092 797 375 146 262 165 57 61 81 81 20 188 45 Brown County Office of the Medical Examiner Medical Examiner’s Report September 2026 Staffing Report The QA/IHI role has been filled, and both open full-time investigator positions have extended offers – both have accepted, with one starting immediately and one starting in January.
