PROCEEDINGS – July 14, 2025 TOWN OF CHASE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING 1. Call to Order and Roll Call Town Board Chairman, Gary Van Lannen called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. in the Chase Town Hall, located at 8481 County Road S, Pulaski WI 54162. Notices were posted in the three town display boxes, which are located at the Town Recycling Center, North Chase Citgo, and South Chase Saloon. Board Members present: Chairman - Gary Van Lannen, Supervisor - Dennis Kroll, Jeff Van Enkevort, Deputy Clerk – Cindy Kroll, and Treasurer – Mae Micolichek. Absent: Clerk – Jeromy Delebreau. 2. Recite the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag The Pledge was recited. 3. Approve the Agenda A. Change in Sequence – None. B. Removal of Items – None. 4. Approve Prior Meeting Minutes 5. Present and Approve Bills for Payment Motion by Van Enkevort/Kroll to approve agenda, change in sequence, prior meeting minutes and bills for payment. The motion was called and carried 3-0. 6. Committee and Department Reports: a. Financial Report – Treasurer Mae Micolichek Mae read the financial report. b. Public Works – Wayne Kaczrowski Chipping at the compost. Hauled aluminum cans. Patched Roads. Put up new stop signs and picked up a dead deer. c. Building Inspector – David Szela The Building Inspections Department issued 4 building permits and 8 phone calls for the month of June. d. Park Commission – Jeff Van Enkevort Enkevort stated that the Playground Equipment for Stone Barn Park is here. A 30-foot flag was donated to the Chase Stone Barn. Update on Craft Sale for September. e. Animal Control – Joe Gracyalny None. f. Planning Commission – Dennis Kroll Kroll stated there was a Rezone and a Certified Survey Map for Estate of Mary Ann Szczepanski, 9247 South Chase Road. Certified Survey Map for Brady Ryczek, 7518 Hilbert Rd. g. Pulaski Fire Department – Gary Van Lannen None. h. NEW Rescue – Dennis Kroll They received a grant for $51,000. In May 59 runs total and 6 were for Chase and average response is 9 minutes and 3 seconds. i. Tourism & Economic Development Corporation – (TEDCOR) – Dennis Kroll 2023 revolving loan for apartments buildings and there is going to be 8 apartment buildings with 10 units in each. j. Oconto County Policing Officer – Garrett Baeton There were 60 incidents in the month. 1 was a sexual assault in the Town of Chase. August 5 th is the National Night Out in Little Suamico. 7. Public Comments (No Action Taken) None. 8. Discuss and Act on Rezone for Estate of Mary Ann Szczepanski, 9247 South Chase Road, Parcel # 012-323201022 AG to Rural Residential. Motion by Kroll/Enkevort to Rezone for Estate of Mary Ann Szczepanski, 9247 South Chase Road, Parcel # 012-323201022 AG to Rural Residential. The motion was called and carried 3-0. 9. Discuss and Act on Certified Survey Map for Estate of Mary Ann Szczepanski, 9247 South Chase Road, Parcel # 012-323201022. Motion by Enkevort/Kroll to approve Certified Survey Map for Estate of Mary Ann Szczepanski, 9247 South Chase Road, Parcel # 012-323201022 with the stipulation that the mobile home must be removed and eliminate the septic system before the Certified Survey Map will be signed. The motion was called and carried 3-0. 10. Discuss and Act on Certified Survey Map for Brady Ryczek, 7518 Hilbert Rd., Parcel #012- 252500924A. Motion by Enkevort/Kroll to approve Certified Survey Map with the stipulation of moving septic and removing barn for Brady Ryczek, 7518 Hilbert Rd., Parcel #012-252500924A. The motion was called and carried 3-0. 11. Discuss and Act on Resolution # R-2025-07-01 to Hire Oconto County for Road Repairs on South Chase Road (Bluegrass Lane Heading east for 3600’). Motion by Enkevort/Kroll to approve Resolution # R-2025-07-01 to hire Oconto County for road repairs on South Chase Road (Bluegrass Lane Heading east for 3600’). The motion was called and carried 3-0. 12. Discuss and Act on Resolution # R-2025-07-02 to Hire Oconto County for Road Repairs on Stable Lane (1423 heading North). Motion by Kroll/Enkevort to approve Resolution # R-2025-07-02 to hire Oconto County for road repairs on Stable Lane (1423 heading North). The motion was called and carried 3-0. 13. Discuss and Act on Resolution # R-2025-07-03 to Hire Oconto County for Road Repairs on Ahlswede Lane (near fire number 9633). Motion by Enkevort/Kroll to approve Resolution # R-2025-07-03 to hire Oconto County for road repairs on Ahlswede Lane (near fire number 9633). The motion was called and carried 3-0. 14. Discuss and Act on Resolution # R-2025-07-04 to Hire Oconto County for Road Repairs on Camber Lane Between South Chase Road and Winddancer Drive. Motion by Kroll/Enkevort to approve Resolution # R-2025-07-04 to hire Oconto County for road repairs on Camber Lane Between South Chase Road and Winddancer Drive. The motion was called and carried 3-0. 15. Discuss and Act on Resolution # R-2025-07-05 to Hire Oconto County for Road Repairs on Van Dornick for various locations heading East from Safian Road. Motion by Enkevort/Kroll to approve Resolution # R-2025-07-05 to hire Oconto County for road repairs on Van Dornick for various locations heading East from Safian Road. The motion was called and carried 3-0. 16. Discuss and Act on Resolution # R-2025-07-06 to Hire Oconto County for Road Repairs on Hilbert Road to Sunnyside View Ditching. Motion by Kroll/Enkevort to approve Resolution # R-2025-07-06 to hire Oconto County for road repairs on Hilbert Road to Sunnyside View Ditching. The motion was called and carried 3-0. 17. Discuss and Act on Resolution # R-2025-07-07 to Amend Employee Fee Schedule. Motion by Enkevort/Kroll to approve Resolution # R-2025-07-07 to amend Employee Fee Schedule. The motion was called and carried 3-0. 18. Discuss and Act on Hall Reservation Contract. Motion Enkevort/Kroll to approve Hall Reservation Contract to remove the horseshoe pits. The motion was called and carried 3-0. 19. Discuss and Act on Ordinance # O-2025-07-01 to Amend Chapter 11 of the Code Of Ordinance Regulating Recycling. There was a discussion about the Recycle Center remaining open with no changes. Motion Enkevort/Kroll to approve Ordinance # O-2025-07-01 to Amend Chapter 11 of the Code Of Ordinance Regulating Recycling. The motion was called and carried 3-0. 20. Adjournment to Monday, August 11, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. The meeting adjourned at 7:46 p.m.
