PROCEEDINGS – October 9, 2023 TOWN OF CHASE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS MEETING 1. Call to Order and Roll Call Town Board Chairman, Gary Van Lannen called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. in the Chase Town Hall, located at 8481 County Road S, Pulaski WI 54162. Notices were posted in the three town display boxes, which are located at the Town Recycling Center, North Chase Citgo, and South Chase Saloon. Board Members present: Chairman - Gary Van Lannen, Supervisor - Dennis Kroll, Supervisor – Jeff Van Enkevort, Clerk – Jeromy Delebreau, Deputy Clerk – Cindy Kroll, Treasurer – Mae Micolichek 2. Recite the Pledge of Allegiance to the Flag The Pledge was recited and the Town took a moment of silence for Jeanne Wroblewski and September 11. 3. Approve the Agenda A. Change in Sequence – None. B. Removal of Items – None. 4. Approve Prior Meeting Minutes 5. Present and Approve Bills for Payment Motion by Van Enkevort/Kroll to change the September meeting minutes #8 to read that Gary Van Lannen opposed, and then approve prior meeting minutes, and bills for payment. The motion was called and carried 3-0. 6. Discuss Committee and Department Reports: a. Financial Report – Treasurer Mae Micolichek Micolichek read the financial report. b. Public Works – Norbert Reinhard Reinhard stated that they have been working on road signs and craft sale. c. Building Inspector – Bobbie Krozell Van Enkevort stated that 9 permits were issued in September for, 1 accessory building, 5 Ag building, and 3 misc. There were also 11 emails and 10 calls. d. Park Commission – Jeff Van Enkevort Van Enkevort stated the Craft Sale was a huge success and over $7,000 was raised. e. Animal Control – Joe Gracyalny None f. Planning Commission – Dennis Kroll Kroll stated there was a Rezone for Steve Fischer and a Certified Survey Map for Steve Fischer which were both approved at planning meeting. g. Pulaski Fire Department – Gary Van Lannen Gary stated 138 calls and 8 were from the Town Of Chase and the comparisons from last year to this year. h. NEW Rescue – Dennis Kroll Kroll stated there were 70 calls and 6 were for Chase. i. Oconto County Economic Development (OCED) – Norb Reinhard Jr. Reinhard stated that Oconto County will start having a Room Tax and vary per town between 5% and 8% depending on what the towns decide on. j. Oconto County Policing Officer – Officer Garrett Baeton stated a total of 72 incidents for the month. 7. Public Comments (No Action Taken) None. 8. Discuss and Act on Steve Fischer, 7430 County Road S, Parcel #012-131302444B, for a Rezone. Motion by Van Enkevort/Kroll to approve Rezone for Steve Fischer, 7430 County Road S, Parcel #012- 131302444B. Motion was called and carried 3-0. 9. Discuss and Act on Steve Fischer, 7430 County Road S, Parcel #012-131302444B, Certified Survey Map. Motion by Van Enkevort/Kroll to approve Certified Survey Map for Steve Fischer, 7430 County Road S, Parcel #012-131302444B. Motion was called and carried 3-0. 10. Discuss and Act on Computer from WDI for $2,330.87 from ARPA funds. Motion by Kroll/Van Enkevort to approve Computer from WDI for $2,330.87 from ARPA funds. Motion was called and carried 3-0. 11. Discuss and Act on Holewinski Road Spelling. Motion by Kroll/Van Enkevort to approve Holewinski with an “E” in the road spelling of the name. Motion was called and carried 3-0. 12. Discuss and Act on N.E.W. Paramedic Account for General Checking for $15,330. Motion by Van Enkevort/Kroll to approve N.E.W. Paramedic Account for General Checking of $15,330. Motion was called and carried 3-0. 13. Discuss and Act on Parking Lot Stripping at Barn for $809. Motion by Van Enkevort/Kroll to approve parking lot stripping at Barn for $809. Motion was called and carried 3-0. 14. Discussion and Act on Internet from Nsight for $157.50 per month for 60 months and $250 installation fee. Motion by Van Enkevort/Van Lannen to approve Internet from Nisght for $157.50 per month for 60 months and $250 installation fee. Motion was called and carried 3-0. 15. Discuss and Act on Newsletter Costs for $1920. Motion by Van Enkevort/Kroll to approve Newsletter Costs for $1920. Motion was called and carried 3 -0. 16. Discuss and Act on Rental Rates at Stone Barn increasing Weekend Single Day Rentals and 3 Day Weekend Rentals by $500. Motion by Van Enkevort/Kroll to approve Rental Rates at Stone Barn increasing Weekend Single Day Rentals and 3 Day Weekend Rentals by $500 starting November 1st, 2023. Motion was called and carried 3-0. 17. Announcements and General Information. A. Clerk, Deputy Clerk, Treasurer, and Supervisors to attend Wisconsin Town Association Unit meeting, Thursday, October 12, 2023. B. November 13 is the Budget Hearing and Budget Meeting. 18.
