Archibald Boat landing lighting
: Archibald
Lake Association committee member, Ken Schwebke, said
that the boat ramp at the landing is getting damaged, probably at night. The Association is requesting
that the town install a light on the existing pole at the ramp. Schwebke has contacted WPS and they
will install the light at no cost. The monthly electric bill would be $15
-
$40/month. Evans said that
there was a light on that pole that was removed several years ago because of the surrounding
neighbors. Schwebke said WPS would put up a deflector on the light. Zeller asked if the association
had tried solar lights, reflective bumpers, ect. Schwebke said he
did not
think those would be sufficient
to avoid the boats running into the dock. Zeller noted that there are no lights at any of the other boat
landings in Townsend and does not want to set precedence. Moving forward, the association should
try the solar and
need
written permission from the surrounding landowners to reconsider.
4.

: Chairperson John Zimdars sta
t
ed that
the Association
has contracted with a builder to erect a 66x60 pole
building at
18281 Sunset Bay Lane
,
to house the
weed harvesting equipment and workshop. Per the Land Use Agreement Between Town of Townsend
and Townsend Flowage Protection District, the association must present the plans to the town for
permission. John included the site map, construction estimates and plan to the board. The cost of the
project is approximately $200,000. The Association has $100,000.00 and they will be applying for a
loan with

of Commissioners of Public Lands. Zeller made the motion to approve the
