–
the paving project on Front Street and the parking lots has begun. The
generators have been installed. Hook up to the fire station/highway will be June 19 and the
Dama will be back to hook up the gas line for the hall. The hall doors and one window still need
to be painted and the CenturyLink pole was taken down on Front Street free of charge.
Public Comment
–
Kathleen Marsh asked who is responsible for branches and brush, in the right of
way. The town will push the brush off the right of way back to the land owners.
It is their responsibility
to take care of. Zeller said she talked with Vicki Powers regarding the blue tarps from the boats. Vicki
said not one of those went to the recycle center. Since the town posted that the tarps could be picked up,
every one of them went to someone. That saved the town at least one whole dumpster!! Zeller also said
the 4
th
of July parade route has been extended and the location that the fireworks company is shooting
from will change. As a result, some streets will be blocked off and state and county troopers will be
here to help with traffic situations. The town has received $12,000 in donations for the fireworks, so the
show will be approx. 30 minutes.
