The meeting will be held in the Common Council Chambers at Marinette City Hall , 1905 Hall Avenue, Marinette, WI. The followi ng items will be on the agenda: 1 . Call the meeting to order. 2. Roll Call. 3. Approve minutes of Room Tax Commission from February 19, 2026 (s ee attached) . Old Business 4. Update on Room Tax Grant Application submitted by Lana Bero for Logging an d Heritage Festival Committee with the event taking place on July 10 th to 12 th , 2026 at Stephenson Island. Requested amount of $10,000. 5. Update on Room Tax Grant Application submitted by Brian Swenson for the Marinette Menominee Area Pickleball Association with the pickleball tournament event taking place between April 24-26 at the Community REC Center. Requested amount of $2,000. New Business 6. Discussion and possible action regarding a Room Tax Grant Application submitted By Pete Schwaba for Get Out of Town, LLC, 2413 Redpath Dr, Marinette, WI. The event is: Get Out of Town , a comedy feature film to be shot in Marinette September 8 – 30, 2026 . Total budget for the film is $100,000 with a requested Room Tax amount of $20,000 (see attached). 7. Discussion and possible action regarding a Room Tax Grant Application submitted by John LaCourt for American Legion Baseball of Marinette, Inc. The project request is: an addition onto the press box, and repairing the lips on both fields at Dale Minzlaff Field at Pedersen Park and Haase Field. Project completion is Fall of 2026. Total project amount of $95,650, with a requested Room Tax amount of $76,520 (Tim Stauss to present) (see attached). 8 . Discussion and possible action regarding funding of additional City Events (see attached) ( Marketing & Tourism Dir. Katzbeck). 9 .
