CITY OF MARINETTE HISTORIC PRESERVATION COMMISSION MEETING MINUTES FROM 0 7 / 1 3 /2 6 Dr. Daniel Kallgren, Historic Preservation Commission Chairperson, called the meeting to order at 10:0 8 am in the Marinette City Hall Common Council Chambers , 1905 Hall Avenue , Marinette, W isconsin. 1. Upon a call of the roll it was determined a quorum of committee members were present and the following attendance was recorded as follows: COMMI SSIONERS PR ESENT: Chairperson Dr. Dan Kallgren, Alderperson Dylan Demmith, Commissioner s M ark Davenport , Denise Ruleau , James Martell and Mike Minzlaff . COMMISSIONERS ABSENT & EXCUSED : None. OTHERS PRESENT: None. 2. Approval of Minutes . Commissioner Davenport moved/ Commissioner Martell se conded and all concurred, to approve, as submitted, the City of Marinette Historic Preservation Committee regular meeting minutes from 6/1/26 . 3. Discussion and possible action for installation of M eridian P late Monument . Commissioner Davenport provided an update that the monument is now in the City ’s possession . He is working to have it near electricity so he can core the bottom of the monument. Commissioner Davenport mentioned that he and Brian Miller, City Engineer , have been discussing the radius around it and that they may need to do a shape around the light pole and installation location. Commissioner Davenport believes this may be a two-step process. He will follow up with Brian Miller, City Engineer this week. 4. Volunteer for a Commission Member to discuss the Cemetery Chapel disposition with Civic Affairs at their monthly meeting on July 20, 2026 at 4pm. Chairperson Dan Kallgren and/or Commissioner Mark Davenport plan to attend this meeting. 5. D iscussion and possible agenda items for the next meeting. Changing the Historic Preservation Meeting to the third Monday of the month at 10am, u pdates on Meridian Plate Monument installation and follow up from the Civic Affairs meeting on July 20, 2026 regarding the Cemetery Chapel disposition. 6. Adjournment. Commissioner Ruleau move d/ Alderperson Demmith seconded and all concurred, to adjourn at 1 0:28 am .
