Landmark Building at 310 Oconto Ave. funding:
Mayor Berman reported the City’s current SAG Grant for the Landmark building at 310 Oconto Ave. could be amended to allow the remainder funds of $29,266 to be used for demolition. The bid from Peter’s Concrete is approximately $182,000, which would leave the City to fund approximately $152,000 for demolition and restoration of the site. An option of funding the project with UDAG funds was explored. A second option would be to apply for a brownfield grant next year or the SAG grant again in two years, but the building would have to remain standing. Concerns for public safety were reviewed.
Motion by Klimek and seconded by Sievert authorizing Mayor Berman to approach the UDAG Committee to request funding for the demolition of the Landmark building at 310 Oconto Ave. Motion carried 3/0.
