Finance & Claims Committee Meeting — Minutes

MINUTES FINANCE & CLAIMS MONDAY – JUNE 22, 2026 – 11:30 A.M. COMMON COUNCIL, MUNICIPAL BUILDING Members present: Acting Chair Brigitte Schmidt and Robert Warren. Members excused: Deborah Sievert Others Attending: Mayor Katie Berman, Clerk-Treasurer Tammy Kasal, Interim-Police Chief Derek Koronkiewicz, and Alderson Person Tony O’Neill. Acting Chair Schmidt called the meeting to order at 11:30 a.m. Motion by Schmidt and seconded by Warren to approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried 2/0. Minutes: Motion by Warren and seconded by Schmidt to approve the March 25, 2026 meeting minutes. Motion carried 2/0. Disbursements: Disbursements were reviewed. Motion by Schmidt and seconded by Warren to approve the disbursements. Motion carried 2/0. RLF/UDAG loans and payments: RLF/UDAG loans and payments were reviewed. Schedule of Appropriation Entries: Clerk-Treasurer Kasal presented June 2026 Appropriation Entries of $9,385.88. Adjustments were reviewed and discussed. Motion by Schmidt and seconded by Warren recommending Council approve the $9,385.88 June 2026 Budget Adjustments and Transfers. Motion carried 3/0. Baycom / Motorola invoices for 12/21/22-4/17/26: Motorola invoices totaling $25,242.50 from 12/21/22 – 4/17/26 were reviewed. The outstanding invoices were for the purchase of services and equipment. Discussion was held on how to fund the purchases. Police Chief Koronkiewicz and Clerk-Treasurer Kasal will review the 2026 Budget to determine if some of the cost can be covered through the budget. Motion by Schmidt and seconded by Warren recommending Council approve the payment of $25,242.50 to Motorola for invoices from 12/21/22 – 4/17/26 to be funded from the General Fund and the 2026 Budget. Motion carried 2/0. Page 2 Finance & Claims June 22, 2026 Such other Matters: Koronkiewicz reported he has received to quotes so far for squad outfitting and will be presenting those at a future meeting.
