MINUTES Special Board Meeting October 23rd, 2024 Public Present: 1) Call to Order: The meeting was called to order at 6:20pm 2) Roll Call: Members present: President Amy Grandaw Trustee Ginger Deschane Trustee Jeff Dorschner Trustee Jeff Baumann Trustee George Gocht Trustee Cory Siebert Trustee Michael Strandt Also present: Clerk/Treasurer Kaitlin Deschane Attorney Frank Calvert 3) Closed Session* - Clerk/Treasurer and Deputy Clerk/Treasurer Positions: Motion by Trustee Michael Strandt, seconded by Trustee Jeff Dorschner, to adjourn to closed session to discuss filling the Clerk and Deputy Clerk roles. Roll call vote: Dorschner: Aye, Gocht: Aye, Strandt: Aye, Deschane: Aye, Baumann: Aye, Siebert: Aye, Grandaw: Aye. Entered closed session at 6:21pm * Closed session is in accordance with WI Statute sec. 19.85(1)(c) which states that “…any meeting of a….governmental body, upon motion duly made and carried, may be convened in closed session under one or more of the exemptions provided in this section… (c)…Considering employment, promotion, compensation or performance evaluation data of any public employee over which the governmental body has jurisdiction or exercises responsibility. 4) Reconvene in Open Session – announce action taken if any Motion by Ginger Deschane, seconded by Michael Strandt to accept Kaitlin Deschane resignation and Barb Uhl retirement January 1. Ayes: 7, Nays: 0. Motion Passed. Motion by Michael Strandt, seconded by Cory Siebert to accept Kaitlin Deschane terms for continuing to work with the village and training the new clerk. Discussion: this includes the change of training 20 hours per week and taking 20 hours of PTO until it is depleted, and the rest being paid up once training is completed if needed. Ayes: 7, Nays: 0. Motion Passed. Adjourn: Motion by Trustee Jeff Dorschner, seconded by Trustee Cory Siebert, to adjourn the meeting at 6:46 pm. Vote: Ayes: 7, Nays: 0. Motion Passed.
