W2435 Old Peshtigo Road Marinette, WI 54143 715-582-4332 www.townofpeshtigo.org MEETING MINUTES Town of Peshtigo Monthly Board Meeting Tuesday, September 16, 2025 at 6 p.m. 1) Call to order: Chairperson Friday called the meeting to order at 6:00pm. 2) Pledge of allegiance 3) Roll call: Present: Chairperson Friday, Supervisor Coble, Supervisor Joy Not present: Supervisor Bergeson, Supervisor Wortner (stepped out to assist a vehicle that broke down on road outside of Town Hall) 4) Verification of proper notice: Chairperson Friday verified. 5) Approve agenda: Approval via unanimous consent. 6) Public comment (limited to 3 minutes per person with no time donations from others, agenda items only), start by stating name/address & agenda item(s) to be addressed: 1 heard- Julie Beyer asked why board is opening quotes for revaluation. Supervisor Wortner joined meeting at 6:02pm. 7) Announcements: 3 of 9 informational sessions have been completed by Chairperson Friday. 6 additional upcoming meetings, residents encouraged to attend- 9/24/25 and 10/9/25 at 10am, 1pm, and 6pm. 8) Minute approval a. Public Hearing + Regular Board Meeting 8-19-2025: Approval via unanimous consent. b. Special Board Meeting 8-21-2025: Motion to approve (Wortner/Joy). Chairperson Friday abstain- not present for 8/21/25 meeting. Motion carried- 3 yes. 9) Reports a. Fire Department: Chief Folgert gave report. Fire Department is currently selling fundraiser raffle tickets. Winner to be drawn on Monday, November 10th. b. Constable: Chairperson Friday gave report. c. Building Inspector: Chairperson Friday gave report. 41 permits YTD. 10) Treasurer Report/Investment Report/Budget YTD vs Actual/Budget Amendments: Approval via unanimous consent. Motion to approve vouchers and payment of bills (Joy/Wortner). Motion carried- 4 yes. a. Approve Marinette County tax collection service: Motion to approve (Coble/Joy). Motion carried- 4 yes. 11) Open sealed quotes for revaluation with possible award: 1 sealed quote received from Accurate out of Menasha, WI. 3 services quoted, all are a “3 year blend”: 1) Market adjustment $81,600 2) Market adjustment and exterior reval $159,600 3) Market adjustment with interior and exterior reval $237,600. Tabled. Chairperson Friday will follow up for clarification on assessment services and bring findings back to the full board. 12) Plan Commission/Comprehensive Plan update: Chairperson updated the Comprehensive Plan is nearing completion. Open House and Public Hearing will be held on 10/21/25. 13) Standing Committee updates: a. Buildings & Grounds – Chairperson Coble, Vice Chairperson Bergeson: Coble updated town is continuing to make progress on repairs, as a result of the CDBG work. HVAC update – Supervisor Joy: Joy updated on a training session with Automated Controls for the HVAC system. He stated the system is overkill for our needs. Adjustments were made, but continued high utility bills are expected. b. Recycling Center – Chairperson Bergeson, Vice Chairperson Coble: Coble updated that a sign will be made, reminding residents that they cannot take electronics once they’ve been brought to RC. c. Roads & Ditches – Chairperson Wortner: Wortner confirmed Town Hall parking lot repairs and Schacht Rd work are complete. 14) PFAS contamination updates a. DNR: Update on website, under water tab. Chairperson Friday attended the DNR Listening Session on 9/11/25. Slides are also updated to website, under the water tab. b. Tyco/JCI: Update on website, under water tab. c. EPA Superfund designation: Update on website, under water tab. Update includes most recent site inspection report. d. Tyco Litigation: No update. Still in litigation. 15) Upcoming Meetings a. Budget Workshop – Tuesday, September 23, 2025 at 5 p.m. b. Regular Board Meeting – Tuesday, October 21, 2025 at 6 p.m. 16) Adjourn: Motion to adjourn at 6:41pm (Coble/Wortner). Motion carried- 4 yes.
